I watched my old girl struggle with her old bed...she didnt really like it anymore and would lay on the cold hard floor. Well, not anymore! She took to this bed immediately and LOVES it. It's soft but supportive, slightly fuzzy but not too warm, the bolster is firm and she lays her head on it. My *only* criticism is that the bottom is slippery on the hardwood so I had to put a non-skid surface under it. That's a small thing compared to the use my old girl gives her new bed. I have not laundered it yet so I dont know how well it will hold up in the washer.
I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE COLOR OF THIS BED! I BOUGHT IT TO MATCH MY LIVING ROOM IN "DEEP POOL". WHICH IN PICTURES LOOKS TEAL. IT'S NOT AT ALL!! IT'S A GUNMETAL BLUE. This bed is good and bad. I like that you can remove the foam and bolsters to wash. I like the streamlined design. And the foam is nice and firm but comfortable and the size is huge! Perfect for my Greater Swiss Mountian Dog and her smaller siblings can find room to lay with her as well. I do not like the fabric at all. Not only the color but it is a very thin cheap fabric. I've always had beds made with more like upholstery material. This material is very thin. I hope it lasts through a wash. I laid a blanket over top to hide the ugly color and hopefully make it last longer.
I bought this for my older Lab shepherd mix. She is 9 and has fractured her hips, torn meniscus, and ACL. This bed was a perfect choice for her. As you can see in the pictures, it is very thick and plush. And from time to time, my puppy steals the cozy bed.🤣 All and all, great bed!! The only difficulty was with FedEx shipping. They shipped it to the wrong part of the US. I had to wait an extra 2 weeks.
I was a little disappointing when i got this mattress. It is not stitched together particularly well as the seams where coming apart at multiple places all over the bed. Furthermore, the foam doesn't seem as firm as the previous bed I bought off Chewy. overall it seems lower quality than other beds I have bought for my GSDs but at the same price. Thankfully I kept the cover of the old bed to use as I don't expect the one that came with the bed to last long. I will update this review in a few months time.
I ordered two beds, one gray and one teal for my pups to share. At first when they arrive I was a little concerned because the box was so small. The size is great as I have two medium to large size dogs. The quality is great however, I do believe that the vacuum seal did damage the sides of the bed as they do not pop up on one of my beds after taking it out of the packaging other than that happy customer.
My dogs love the bed but when I went to wash it all of the zippers for the inner bolsters that form the arms and back of the bed were stuck. When we went to unzip them every zipper broke. Nice idea, bad execution. Requesting additional assistance from the manufacturer. Will update if corrected.
I am not normally one to leave reviews, but I am very disappointed in this bed. Wish I had taken the time to read the negative reviews rather than purchasing based on the total overall review. I have purchased many beds from Chewy over the years (along with many other products) and have never been disappointed but this bed is completely flat. You can see in the photos that the cover is larger than any of the material used to fill the bed and it does not look anything like the photo of the product or many of the photos that customers have added as part of their review. I’ve also included pictures of the bolster, and the inner foam core of the bed itself both of which are pretty flat. Very disappointed as this was to be a Christmas gift for our dogs that would provide them with a big enough bed to lay in together in front of the fireplace. Our one dog is almost 15 and has arthritis. The other dog is a larger dog at almost 80 pounds so they need the support. Very disappointed Chewy.
We have a growing, 9 month old Great Pyrenees puppy who was sleeping under my husband's side of the bed at night. She also alternated between with one of our sheltie's beds - which is considerably smaller than her! So, I bit the bullet and bought her this bed in the largest size available. I swear it's bigger than a child's bed, which is a good thing. She fits in it perfectly now ... and she loves it! She spins, and spins, and spins ... then flops and sleeps like a baby. We are very happy with her new bed ... now to find a better spot so I don't trip over it when I get out of bed in the morning :-).
My pet seemed to be limping some on his back leg. I seen this Orthopedic bed and thought I'd try it out. My baby really likes it. He did let me get it out of the box. The bed is vacuum packed in the Box , so you need to be careful opening it . The edges aren't as high as with the picture shows they're it's kind of like flattened out so I'm not sure if that's because it's Vacuum Pack and it just needs time to get its shape . But I'm very happy with the size the color and my fur baby likes it, too So far he's really liking it
I ordered the jumbo size orthopedic bed for our 145 lb senior Newfoundland. She has more than enough room to stretch out without exceeding the size of the bed and enjoys using the bolstered sides as a pillow, So glad that I purchased and would recommend the jumbo size for giant breeds.
