This was a 3rd party drop ship so not up to the speedy delivery I am used to when Chewy ships, but can't grumble it did arrive in the time promised. (I've just been spoiled with Chewy's 1 to 2 day shipping) Bed is a really nice bed, offers good support which is what we wanted for our arthritic old girl, some reviews implied it was thin and tears easily, admittedly our dog isn't a 'pawer' but she is a 70lb lab with some pretty good nails and everything is holding up well.
I chose this dog bed because of the design (orthopedic), material, and bolster. I registered this dog bed for a 60 day warranty as well. I typically don't register for "extended warranties" because I believe that the company should "back" their products unconditionally if they believe in the quality/durability. This bed did not last for one month which is not acceptable to me. The material was very thin and I had concerns when I received this product. The material has already torn/ripped open after minimal use and within the first 3 weeks of owning.
Extremely disappointed after wasting my money. Bed was delivered on December 4th , by February I noticed the center area of the bed cover already nearly worn through where my dog lays on it. By March 9 a large tear/hole opened up to expose the cushion underneath. Long story short, the bed lasted about 4 months with normal use from a Labrador . DO NOT BUY.
I was worried with the reviews on it being flat and not taking shape. Relax guys, it is vacuumed packaged. Open the packaging and the bed bounces to life! The bolster area has a zipper all the way around. I took the padding out, fluffed it and put it back in. Bed is perfect! For reference my dog is 75 pounds and I ordered the Jumbo. He loves the bed.
It's the oddest thing. We have three dogs and three dog beds in which there is no assignment. They just rotate to what's available at any given time. However, for some reason all three of our dogs prefer the tile floor to this bed. There appears to be nothing wrong with the dog bed, but they will get on it to investigate and then abandon it for the floor. I would return this, but the size of it makes it too inconvenient.
Bought 2 of these in jumbo for 80 and 100 pound GSD. Previously had ones with no arm/ headrest which are still in good condition but they both prefer this type. Great place to rest weary heads at a decent price. As always, Chewy delivers!!
My Loki absolutely LOVES his new bed. She sleeps on his bed more often than he did his last one and the one we had veggie was too small for him really even though he loved it too, but he used to hang off it either his back legs or he would lay his head on the floor. He didn't seem to mind ever. Now he even kicks his brother off his bed which he never did before. His brother a much smaller 30 lb Basenji mix has an entire couch to himself as his bed but he likes his brothers bed too. I can't say enough about this bed. So glad it was on sale at over 50% off when I bought it or I might not have gotten it.
FurHaven Quilted Full Support Orthopedic Sofa Dog & Cat Bed - Our 90 lb. pooch loves his Furhaven bed and that is most important! Generally we are happy with the bed as well - my on negative comment is that the quality of the fabric cover is a bit thinner than I would like, so not sure how it will hold up to. Time will tell!
This bed was perfect for my gentle 75lb Lab. But after 1 month the cover had worn through to the foam underneath. I feel like I have wasted my money on this one.
My dog loves it but it is a bit thin for a larger/heavier breed. He is a Rottweiler/Pit-bull/Labrador mix so he is quite large and heavy. I anticipate it lasting about a year or so before needing to replace the foam. He uses it only at night and in just over a month, the foam is noticeably compressed.
