Don't Dread the Shed

Shedding—it seems like a losing battle that pet parents can never win. It's true that you'll never stop your precious furballs from shedding, but you can reduce the amount of hair that gets all over with the FURminator deShedding Tool. Designed by a professional groomer, this ingenious tool reaches beyond the topcoat to remove loose hair from the undercoat. It gently pulls away the dead hair without hurting your pet's skin or damaging the protective undercoat.

Don't Dread the Shed
The Gentle Grooming Solution

The Gentle Grooming Solution

When you can tell everywhere your pet's been just by the hair trail left behind, it's time for FURminator to step in. Their popular deShedding Tool won't scratch the skin, and you can even use it on the ears and tail. Instead of cutting the undercoat, it only removes the hair that's already loose. With 10-20 minute sessions just once or twice a week, you can reduce matting and bring out the coat's natural shine.

Less Hair, Less Work

FURminator deShedding Tools help you cut down on your vacuuming time by reducing your pets' shedding up to 90%. Believe it or not, the hair that you find all over the house—clinging to the furniture and your clothes, and hiding in corners with its "tumble-hair" buddies is mostly from your pet's undercoat. This hair gets trapped under the topcoat and then sheds pretty much everywhere—unless you have a handy FURminator!

Less Hair, Less Work
The FURminator Advantage

The FURminator Advantage

There are tons of deshedding tools on the market, but the FURminator is recommended by vets and professional groomers worldwide because it gives real results. The stainless steel edge has special compact teeth that push through the topcoat and gently rake away loose hairs. A convenient FURejector button releases the hair from the tool so it doesn't build up on the deShedding edge. Plus, the easy-grip handle is comfortable for longer grooming sessions.

I was skeptical this would work on my dog after reading the reviews. Her hair is about 2 inches long, and it seemed unclear whether this was effective on longer-haired short-hair dogs. Typically, she sheads so much in a day - every time she is pet, lies down, or plays with our other dog, her hair flies everywhere. After one use, for just about two minutes, all the extra hair she would have shed was completely gone, for the whole day. I definitely recommend this product if you’re dealing with a hyper-shedder. Do use outside - it will create a mess if you use it inside.

I assumed the teeth on the curry comb were going to be somewhat soft and flexible, like a curry comb for a horse. I suppose I should have read the reviews before ordering. The rubber teeth are very stiff and uncomfortable for my dog. The comb seems to pull hair out, but I am not able to use it on bonier areas (like my Kelpie's legs, which shed a lot) so this is a grooming tool I probably wont use. • For VERY short hair

Even slicker brushes weren't collecting the massive shedding my Chocolate Lab has. There HAD to be something out there made for dogs like these. And sure enough, THERE IS! It feels good to him too. This is best used outside because of the amount of hair it will remove or have a trash can nearby inside. Yes, I do recommend this product. It's a must-have.

  • Kinda small

Works great on my short hair American Bulldog. The size is a bit small in my hand wish it had a larger option. Why does chewy want permission to take pictures and video to add a photo? I think not.

  • Not only for horses

I learned about curry combs from working with horses and I love how it gets all the loose fur out. It's gentle but still gets into his short fur which is what I needed.

  • can't be happier

I had problems with the bad allergy because my girl sheds a lots and made me and my kids had a nasal problem, especially for myself. I tried everything but it failed.I looked up on Chewy and found this curry comb and I had read the reviews about it. I saw lot of positives comments about it so I decided to give it a try and I'm so very happy I did. This comb removes lots of hair from my dog the first time I used and I used it everyday only one week. I noticed the big difference. Less hair falls and my allergy is getting better. I'd recommend this comb to whoever has the same problem with me. It does help a lot and my dog love it too.

  • Doesn't work as well for short haired dogs

    By on

I was hoping the brush would take the hair and hold onto it. However with my short haired mix pit the hair flies all over. I guess it might be ok if you do it outside.

  • Awesome tool for various coat lengths/types!

This is my new favorite grooming tool!! I'm by no means an at home groomer, and don't have dogs who need a lot of grooming but I have a black lab/German Shepard mix, who has a medium, double coat and is ALWAYS shedding, and a black lab/border collie (we think) mix who has a very short coat. With my lab/Shepard mix, I have always used the Zoom Groom in the past; he seemed to like it too, and it did the job, but the rubber teeth wore down. This comb popped up as a suggestion when I was on Chewy.com and after reading the reviews I decided to give it a try-WOW I'm impressed! Even my parents' dog who hates to be groomed stood still for a long time while I brushed out way more hair than I think I ever have! If you want just one , simple tool for at home maintenance, this products is AWESOME! I haven't had it for too long, but definitely recommend it and will purchase another if this one happens to wear out. … more

  • Great for short hair

    By on

Our pup is a pit mix and came to us underweight and malnourished. I chose this because it is supposed to help stimulate the follicles for good oils to produce more. I can honestly say that this has indeed helped with both hair growth and coat radiance.

  • Best brush ever

We have a four year old Lab/Dane. The brush really gets that under coat of hair out and he enjoys the process. Much better than taking him to groomer.
