Don't Dread the Shed
Dealing with shedding feels like an uphill battle to most cat lovers. While you may never stop your precious furballs from shedding, you can help to reduce the amount of hair your pet sheds with FURminator. Designed by a professional groomer, this tool reaches beyond the topcoat to remove loose hair from the undercoat. It pulls away loose hair without hurting your cat's skin or damaging his undercoat.

The Gentle Grooming Solution
Chances are, if you're a pet parent, it shows—and not always in a good way. From your couch to your favorite sweater, cat hair can get everywhere. FURminator products work to tackle your shedding problems in the comfort of your own home by targeting the loose hairs of your pal's undercoat without hurting your kitty.
The FURminator Advantage
When it comes to fur, no two breeds are alike. For example, did you know that some cats have two coats? There's a topcoat—the fur you see—and an undercoat, which you don't. With a unique deShedding edge, FURminator reaches through the topcoat to remove loose hair hiding in the undercoat. Regular brushing grooms your kitty's topcoat, but only de-shedding removes the loose hairs before they shed.

Less Hair, Less Cleaning
FURminator deShedding tools can help cut down on your cleaning time by removing loose hair before it ends up around the house. That's because most of the hair you get stuck cleaning up—yes, including those furry tumbleweeds—is mostly from your cat's undercoat. This hair gets trapped under the topcoat and then sheds pretty much everywhere—and that is where the FURminator can help.

Life (and rug) saver!
By Claire on Apr 28, 2021
I bought this last year after my long haired cat finally got to the point of throwing up hairballs almost daily. She's very skittish and always hated being brushed. Even when I could hold on to her and brush for a few minutes, other brushes would only take off a small amount of fur at a time. The ones that worked a little better hurt her! The Furminator (large, long hair) is unbelievably good. When I first started using it she would not. only sit and stay in her own but she'd later come back to the same spot on the couch to "ask" to be brushed!! She's still sensitive and I need to hold the scruff of her neck if I'm doing her sides or belly but she totally tolerates it and I can get a massive I bought this last year after my long haired cat finally got to the point of throwing up hairballs almost daily. Works great on cats and dogs
By divacat89 on Jun 27, 2021
Bought this particular version of the Furminator to best handle a variety of fur types. It has worked well on cats (short thin fur, short thick fur, and long fur) as well as long and short haired dogs. Extremely helpful for between season shedding

This is something I recommend to every pet owner! I’ve used this product for years and it’s wonderful. It’s amazing quality and gets so much hair out, especially during shedding season.

Great at furminating, need to clean up loose hair
By KBkitties on Jan 31, 2021
I'm addicting to furminating my Persian cat now, I've combed a roomful of hair out of her with this thing. The brush doesn't hold the fur and you have to control it so it's not flying all over - like in your face. I noticed that a day or so after brushing she'd chuck up a hairball, so now I go over her lightly with a regular brush to pick up the loose hair. It's definitely getting the deeper fur, because she's black but what I furminate out is gray. She tolerates this much better than her regular brush. It works on the short-hair cats too.

Don’t use on a cat’s tail!!
By Ab77 on Jan 9, 2021
I did my research, read instructions & watched multiple furminator videos all saying it is “ideal” for use on long hair cat tails; my beautiful 11 mo old maine coon now has a thinned out scraggly looking 1/2 of his tail. I used the furminator with an incredibly light touch & stopped the second I noticed it was not just taking “dead undercoat” & started googling to find many long haired owners warning the furminator has ruined the tails of their cats. Many of them saying it took over a year to grow back but never reached it’s former glory. Horrified I may have done permanent damage to his previously gorgeous tail. Awful product.

Finally, a brush that works!
By DaveCatFather on Dec 29, 2020
We picked this up thanks to a coupon, and wishing we had gotten it sooner. Our drawer full of pet brushes could be used for something else, like playing cards, gold bars, or a super computer. Anyway, if you can afford it, this is the brush to go with, if you can't, find a coupon and get it anyway! It will save you money in the long run because you won't need to buy any more brushes, and you can turn that cabinet drawer into a minibar. Most importantly, the cats like the brush and we get more fur out when they're happy and want to be brushed.

Hairy cat and don't like hairballs
By Nonny on Jan 10, 2021
I have a Ragdoll cat and she has lots for hair and she isn't crazy about getting brushed. but the short period of time I was able to brush her I think the Furminator did a great job. Hoping as she gets a little older she's be more tolerable about getting brushed. It's a little expensive but I like how it sits up from their skin and it fits my hand very well.

A necessity for a long haired kitten
By Kayleigh on Feb 3, 2021
My long haired kitten has been lazy about getting all of her tangles out and the furminator has been a game changer. It's easy to remove the hair and my cat doesn't seem bothered by it, as she has with other brushes.

Removes enough fur to make a new cat
By Layla on Dec 8, 2020
My cat is half Turkish Angora, so she has very fine and soft silky fur. We've tried a few different brushes we always thought worked well - boy does this brush give a totally different perspective on it's predecessors!! Easy to use, nice grip, and removes so. Much. Fur. Best of all she seems to actually enjoy being groomed with this tool and usually lets me get most of her brushed in one sitting - doesn't even mind having her pants brushed! Love this tool, definitely a win.

Static is real...
By Woof on Feb 7, 2021
Unfortunately we're having problems with too much static, which has not been a problem with other brushes. I have German Shepherd mix. She is not a fan.
