how often can you brush with Furminator? and can puppies (5-month) use it?
Answer by • May 01, 2021
This product is good for dogs and puppies 8 weeks or older. For best results, use the FURminator undercoat deShedding tool 1-2 times a week for 10 to 20 minutes each session, though the actual time will vary depending on your pet’s breed, the condition of their coat, and the thickness of the pet’s individual coat. It may be necessary to use the undercoat deShedding tool more frequently during heavy shedding seasons. FURminator’s grooming edge is designed to make grooming pets faster and easier while the Skinguard design eliminates digging and allows to tool to glide over most pet skin.
I have had this in large for a long time and really love it. wondering now about replacement blades or just a new one?
Answer by • Aug 18, 2021
At this time, the manufacturer does not offer replacement parts for this deshedding tool.
Have always used one on my long-haired German Shepherd. It’s everything you’d need for undercoats and heavy shedders! I tried others years ago and NOTHING beats this! I won’t use anything else! My girl is 8 now! It removes all loose unwanted top coat and undercoat and we have BAGS when finished ! Quality is super, lasts! I’ve misplaced mine somehow so just ordered another yesterday! I never write reviews but this deserves it.

Deshedding tool
This thing works even better than expected on our Golden Retriever. First time i used it I was really surprised how well it collected the loose fur right off of her without much effort. So much better than a regular brush. Well worth the money.

Excellent brush
This brush does an outstanding job on our Great Pyrenees/ Anatolian Shepard rescue. I was also surprised how fear it works on our Main Coon cat and how much he enjoys this brush

Frequent Shedder
My dog sheds twice a year - he's a Cardigan Corgi/Chow mix. The hair is like tumble weed in my house and it seemed never ending. With this comb I finally got some control. He likes being combed and this gets the under coat that would pull out in clumps. I comb him and get all that stuff out at once that was lingering all over the house. He still sheds but most of it goes into the comb.

Helps with shedding
This product is a must, if your dog has that underlying fur. The hair release feature is great. The teeth are sharp, so groom with caution and your dog will enjoy the experience.

FURminator Long Hair Deshedder
Our dog has REALLY long, thick coat --he's part Borzoi-- and he did NOT like this tool. If I had to guess (and I do) it seemed to be pulling hair from him. Whatever the reason it clearly caused him discomfort. He tolerates the dual-sided Slicker brush much more readily

Deshedding tool
This works perfectly on my Lab. My lab sheds horribly and this tool gets a lot of hair is one swipe. Only issue is that I need to do this outside because of all the dog hair. Great tool!
