Questions & Answers

Why not provide the diameter of the two attachments. People can check it against their vacuum. See if it fits our whole house vacuum hose end but without measurements I still don't have an answer. Yes, I could give you the diameter of my vacuum hose, but that wouldn't answer anyone else's problem.
Answer by ChewyFeb 28, 2018
This accessory kit will fit standard vacuum hoses with a diameter of 1 7/16 inches to 1 1/2 inches.

Will any Furminator brush fit this attachment?
Answer by ChewyApr 07, 2018
This is compatible with small, medium and large size short-haired and long-haired dog and cat deShedding tools. It will not work with classic or deluxe models.

Are there any other connections that could be used to make it fit onto a vacuum? I currently have a shop vac and the accessories it does not fit. :(
Answer by ChewyDec 15, 2017
At this time this product only includes two attachments to ensure this fits in all general household vacuum sizes.

Will this work on the Shark HV380 model? I know it says all, but I didn’t know what it meant when they said “will not work with classic or deluxe models”.
Answer by ChewyMar 06, 2018
The Classic or Deluxe models refers to the older style FURminator brushes.

Good concept, lackluster design.

This does not fit shop vacs. This does not fit all household vaccuums. I've tried on 3 different ones, different brands and it doesn't fit. It's best for small vacuums I guess, or splicing the end of a spare shop vac hose, putting it on and securing it to the tool so it can suction properly.

Not worth the money and not worth returning

Doesn't fit my furminator and doesn't fit my vacuum, but for what I paid for it, it's not worth returning either.

This Can't Really Be a FURminator Product

We live by FURminator Products! Love 99% of everything that has their branding on it! This is that 1%. Cheaply made, doesn't fit securely to 3 different types of vacuums even when the dimensions are exact according to the packaging, unwieldy, etc. FURminator products tend to be very functionally accurate. Whomever made this, didn't test this. Great in theory. Poor in actuality.

Vacuum Accessory for FURminator Comb

This is a game-changer for high-shedding dogs, BUT the instructions were insufficient. I took me a while to figure out that it actually ATTACHES to the FURminator and requires you to work the FURminator until you have a good build up of loose hair, press the expeller and turn on the vacuum so it sucks up the hair. If your vacuum has a flexible hose, you're good. If not, you'll need to attach and re-attach the accessory to the vacuum.

Fur control

I was skeptical about this attachment, whilst remaining entirely hopeful. I’m a first time Husky owner, and have only heard of the fur horror stories. Upon my first brushing, oh my goodness... there was fur everywhere! This nifty little guy sucks up the fur really well. Occasionally yes I do have to guide the fur in, but considering I’m still finding fur from the first brushing... LIFESAVER. I highly recommend this product. Also, side note I put the vacuum as far away from my puppy as the attachment allowed, and Luna was okay with the sound. Helps if you add in some treats here and there.

furminator dog vacuum

absolutely love it. gets the hair before it gets on the floor. Cutter can't get enough of it. do wish there was an additional Velcro strap for further back on the handle. also, the plastic cracked when dog decided to grab it for me. (like I said he can't get enough of it) would like to be able to order a replacement piece

Not sure if its me

feels a little clumsy in my hand.. I'm a small woman.. also when shedding is heavy have to stop and free built up hair from opening.. Thinking the more I use it will do this less as his undercoat comes out

Harper's family

Totally worthless on our 80 lb. yellow lab. Can we return it? Don't even have anyone we can give it to.

I may finally win the battle against pet fur

Received this product today and already I am amazed. My dogs had already been trained to let me use a vacuum wand after regular brushing to pick up any loose fur. This product eliminates the piles of fur and allows me to brush them inside the house which will be great for the winter months. While I still had some fur to sweep up after using it, the amount was minimal. It attaches easily and works just as described.

Great concept, but....

Didn’t work with our furminator deshedding tool. I really wanted this to work because I hate having to repeatedly clean off the deshedding tool when brushing our dogs. It didn’t work as expected. Fur still got stuck, didn’t get sucked into the vacuum and we still had to pull it off deshedding tool.
