I have a cat with an allergy to some protein that we haven't figured out yet. The vet said to feed him something he's never eaten before. I gave him lamb and pork and he loves it.
My poor kitty with inflammatory bowel can no longer eat chicken, fish, and the usual fare, so I tried this. He loves it! Licks the plate after it's all gone! Other cats come an lick too! So glad there are a few novel proteins available "OTC" now--not just that awful Rx stuff that nobody likes!
I bought this because Woody's favorite brand was out of stock. He prefers the smaller can, he doesn't care for eating leftovers.
My cats don't go crazy for it, but they don't reject it either, so that's a plus in my book. I feel it is important to vary their diet, and this canned food fits the bill for proteins that are different than what I normally feed them.
I was hopeful for this food. They like both lamb and pork. However neither cat would eat it. I guess they didn't like the smell?
My cat devoured this. It is great for those whose cats need a novel protein diet and it seems to taste good. It does not say anywhere in the description, but it is a pate.
