How much your cat needs to be nourished daily depends on their activity levels and what stage of life they are in. Generally, the more active they are (think adventurous outdoor cats) the more they’ll need to eat. Use the chart to the right to determine the nutrition guidelines for your cat.

Kittens: Post weaning up to 5 months old feed 3 times as much food as an Adult cat of the same weight. Between 5 months and 1 year feed your kittens 1.5 - 2 times as much food as an Adult cat and start feeding kittens as Adults after 1 year. Moisten food if desired. Always maintain a clean water supply that your kitten can easily access.

Pregnant & Lactating: Monitor and maintain an adequate source of food so that your pregnant or lactating cat can freely eat as she needs. Always maintain a clean water supply that your pregnant or lactating cat can easily access.

Transition Instructions

While it’s perfectly safe to stop feeding your cat’s previous food one day and introduce Fussie Cat the next, we recommend a gradual transition to Fussie Cat for up to 2 weeks. This is especially true if your cat has been previously fed a high grain, corn, wheat or soy diet. Start by introducing a small amount of Fussie Cat, increasing it daily while decreasing the previous food by the same amount. This will help avoid upset stomachs as it makes it easier for your pet’s digestive system to acclimate.

    Cats love it.

We have 3 cats and had been finding puke piles of the old kibble. Unsure of who it was. We switched to this food and it's been about a month and so far no puke piles.

    Stopped the Vomiting

    By on

Our cat was vomiting up undigested food occasionally. After recently turning 7 years old, it started to happen almost every day. The vet recommended trying a food that didn't have chicken. He switched from Science Diet to this Fussy Cat duck and quail. In 3 months he hasn't had one reoccurance. Problem solved!

I try to get different & unique flavors for my kitty. This was a HUGE hit! He gobbled it up and was purring as he munched away.

    He likes it!

I have a "fussy cat" and recently tried Fussie Cat wet food. My cat gave it two thums up, so I tried the dry food and he likes it! That means their food has passed a pretty high litmus test. This approval comes from a cat that has slid food samples off his shelf when he's been displeased with the offering.

    Fixed digestive issues

    By on

My 2 year old female rag doll has been seemingly allergic to chicken and grains and had diarrhea every time she went to the bathroom. No bueno. It has been near impossible to find something that 1) she liked and 2) without chicken, corn, gluten, etc. Her Vet didn't know what to do and he didn't think it was chicken/grain related. His Science Diet Prescription recommendation didn't help at all. I tried several different brands/flavors (on my own) and she either didn't like them or the symptoms worsened, but never improved! This was going on for months!! I was getting worried. I tried this product and it has done the trick and she LIKES IT! A miracle!!! Answer to my cats digestive issues!

    By on

Over the last 3 months my cat has had diarrhea and has lost a significant amount of weight. With multiple visits to the vet, xrays, lab work, multiple stool samples that were negative and no concrete answer to why. One vet said kidney disease was the problem, another suggested an ultrasound because she didn't think it was kidney disease. $600 later with no answers I wondered if it was a food intolerance that was causing it. Her old food had either chicken or eggs in it. I took a chance & ordered Fussie Cat Quail & Duck Meal & over a week decreased her old food while increasing the new food. No more diarrhea! Thank you Chewy and Fussie Cat!

Got some samples at CatCon and my 2 picky eaters love this brand. Still slowly integrating with existing food.

Finally a cat food that doesn't have chicken!

    By on

My one cat is allergic to chicken and it is really hard to find cat food that doesn't have chicken. My vet said a lot of cats are allergic to chicken, so you would think it would be easier to find but this is the only dry one I found so far. All three of my cats really like this food.
