How much your cat needs to be nourished daily depends on their activity levels and what stage of life they are in. Generally, the more active they are (think adventurous outdoor cats) the more they’ll need to eat. Use the chart to the right to determine the nutrition guidelines for your cat.

Kittens: Post weaning up to 5 months old feed 3 times as much food as an Adult cat of the same weight. Between 5 months and 1 year feed your kittens 1.5 - 2 times as much food as an Adult cat and start feeding kittens as Adults after 1 year. Moisten food if desired. Always maintain a clean water supply that your kitten can easily access.

Pregnant & Lactating: Monitor and maintain an adequate source of food so that your pregnant or lactating cat can freely eat as she needs. Always maintain a clean water supply that your pregnant or lactating cat can easily access.

Transition Instructions

While it’s perfectly safe to stop feeding your cat’s previous food one day and introduce Fussie Cat the next, we recommend a gradual transition to Fussie Cat for up to 2 weeks. This is especially true if your cat has been previously fed a high grain, corn, wheat or soy diet. Start by introducing a small amount of Fussie Cat, increasing it daily while decreasing the previous food by the same amount. This will help avoid upset stomachs as it makes it easier for your pet’s digestive system to acclimate.

    Formula change?

    By on

I needed chicken-free food for one cat who is extremely picky and gets itchy from a lot of standard dry foods which mostly has chicken products in them. We were goving them Blue Limited Ingredient Duck & Potato but the protein content is on the lower side so tried a small bag of this from a local shop and both cats liked it. They didn't carry larger bags, so bought the 10 lb bag here. Both cats sniffed it and looked up at me like "you're not expecting us to eat this, right?". I even waited a day or 2, went back to the Blue, added a little of this bag to the Blue and my cat ate around the kibble. I know brands sometimes need to change up formulas depending on the availability of ingredients I needed chicken-free food for one cat who is extremely picky and gets itchy from a lot of standard dry foods which mostly has chicken products in them. Fussie Cat Quail & Duck

    By on

My cats aren't fans of this food. I shared it with the outside feral cats and they aren't big fans either as they look at me as if to say, "what are you giving us?". Some cat birds, blue jay birds and night animals don't mind it though. The wild night critters come out of the woods and clean out the cat's bowl every night.

Furbabies give it a "paws" up

I purchased this to mix w/other dry foods. I was using Tiki Cat, American Journey, and Annamaet. I subbed this for the Annamaet. This is their lunch. They eat every morsel and beg for more. Too bad, as they get wet for breakfast and supper. No free ranging in my house!

Great food - but this one not as tasty as the others

    By on

I recommend this brand highly. My cat has loved this food for years. I have only purchased the chicken and salmon flavors as they are the best priced. I vary it with each order, but these are the main flavors. However during quarantine, those flavors were out of stock, so I spent more, got a small bag, and bought two new flavors for her. She ate it at first, but now she leaves it in the bowl. I have tried it with my other cat as well so as not to waste it; he doesn't really want it either. Maybe quail and duck are stronger flavors that they don't want.

Cat likes Fussie Cat Market Fresh

    By on

All of the Fussie Cat Market Fresh products are well received by my cat. He is fussy about his food and has a sensitive stomach. I just introduced him to the remaining line of flavors, and he eats them all with no issue.

Both cat's love this one!!!! Total different meat tasting for them, instead of the same boring chicken flavor.

My two kittens and 2 senior cats are all loving this food. 3 of the 4 are picky eaters. 1 kitten and one senior cat have food allergies... they haven’t been long enough to say if they have any adverse reactions to this food but so far so good :)

Fussie cat food for a Fussie cat

    By on

I have a Fussie cat who is picky about his food. But his digestive system does not agree with most of the cat foods out there. Finally, the search is over. Fussie Cat food is just perfect for my fussie cat - Justice. His brother, Freedom, agrees. Both of them love the food and it agrees with their digestive system. Their coats are shiny and silky too. Freedom eyes are not as runny. Freedom is my black and white cat and Justice it the black cat.

    Great products

    By on

My cats love Fussie cat and it’s all I feed to my cats with stomach issues. Canned and kibble. Best prices are with Chewy.com . I have three cats and they are very healthy since I switch them to Fussie cat 4 years ago, thank Fussie cat. I definitely recommend Fussie Cat to anyone for any cat of any age great simple pure ingredients and I’m assuming great taste since cats just devour it when I feed them.

    Approved by my cats

    By on

My cats like this food and it seems to keep them full until their next meal. One of my cats is allergic to chicken and turkey so it is nice to add a new type of food to her limited options.
