Do not get these! Lasted only ONE night!
We live in a rural-ish area and recently discovered a rat problem in our garage. They chewed through our plastic containers to get to our dog food and bird seed so we bought two of these “Vault” containers. These containers promise to keep food odors in so pests can’t find them. Wrong. We filled 2 of these up with dog bones and bird seed, screwed the lids on tightly, and bought some rat traps just in case. Tonight, we went to get the dogs a bone and there’s a giant hole in the top of one of the lids and teeth scratches on the other one. We are so grossed out and frustrated that we spent money on these. Don’t get them for any sort of pest-proofing since they can clearly smell inside the containers.
Vittles Vault - 15 lb
I've come to appreciate this for a multitude of reasons. Here are a few of them. Portability: Sol and I are mobile on the weekends and I do not want to always lug around his 50 lb Vault (Five-star rating too, btw) for two days, four meals. So this? Fits that bill perfectly. Quality: The lid and gasket fit as they should, which is to say they work. The food is kept fresh, odors don't escape, which is the start of attraction from animals that shouldn't be eating Sol's food. Appearance: It is simple, attractive and regular enough shaped that if it does need to be packed, it can be neatly, solidly and securely. Bottom line? This is a "must" for Sol and I's adventures and day-to-day adventures.
CHEAPER MATERIAL
I have purchased 2 15 lbs in past years. They are made of a durable plastic material, thicker than what this bigger one . Different feel, slick, really easily dropped off hands are sweaty. The kids is so difficult to spin and get on and or remove. I can not recommend as if it's outside nawing creatures will have no difficulty getting to feed. Don't know if the original owners sold company but this new improved is thin, not as sturdy, and difficult to remove replace lid.

This arrived quickly, securely packaged. I ordered this for a fair price and am completely satisfied. It’s durable, it’s air-tight and it’s practical. I’m able to fit a whole 15lb bag of pet food inside and keep it fresh without having to worry about coming home to a sea of stray food all over my floor because my animals got rambunctious and impatient. I highly recommend this product.
Perfect for Storage!
I find this to be a very durable item and perfect for storing dog food. My puppy tends to find a way to open or get her dog food otherwise. This storage bin makes sure that she can’t get to it, so it’s perfect! It seems to be a very lasting material too.
Wonderful
I recommend these containers 100%. They are super durable and very sturdy. They hold the amount they advertise. Some of the rubber rings have fallen out however they are still bug proof. The price is amazing as well when compared to big box stores---at least 50% cheaper, if not more.
Awesome container but doesn't hold as much as it claims
This container is really high quality and it keeps food fresh. so: yay! Very satisfied with that. BUT... the 35-lb container doesn't hold 35 lbs worth of the dog food I use (Beneful). When I put the contents of a 28-lb bag into it, it didn't all fit -- about 12 cups worth were remaining, which is kind of an inconvenience. I thought that the 7 lbs difference (28 to 35 lb) was enough "wiggle room," but nope. Bummer!
Containers
I first saw these containers while pet sitting for my son. I was impressed with the quality, how the lid made the food stay fresh and prevent paws to open. I bought one for food and the 2nd for litter. They are the best on the market!
Good product, but no cup was disappointing
The product is great for storing food! However, before purchasing I was reading the questions and one of the answers said each size comes with a measuring cup. Mine did not come with one, so maybe they changed it having one over time.
Great storage
I ordered 2 of the Vittle Vaults that hold 15 pounds. I order 12 pounds of food at a time for my beagles. It’s the right size and holds the whole 12 pounds(small kibble). They slide under a shelf and are out of sight!
