  • Lasts longer than any other

We have been trying out different litters for years, searching for the best one and this is it so far. It has a lot less dust than the crystal litter or any other kind we have tried (clay, corn, walnut). It also clumps better than anything else, and we love being able to simply flush the poop when we don't have time for fully scooping the litter. We have not had success with flushing the pee because the clumps don't dissolve even after hours left in the toilet. It smells the least and lasts the longest of anything we have tried. While the crystal litter claims to last for weeks, it doesn't- The smell of urine becomes unbearable by day 4 even with regular scooping/stirring and our cat starts pooping outside the box. This Garfield litter actually does last for weeks because it clumps so efficiently! It seems more expensive per ounce, but since it lasts longer it is actually cheaper for us than the crystal litter. … more

  • It’s so bad that I’m writing this at 2 AM to warn you

Thought this would be a good (less expensive) alternative to Pretty Litter. Oh, was I ever wrong... Absolutely horrendous litter. 1) Zero odor control. I literally had to clean it every time one of my cats pooped or else you could smell it from the bathroom, into the bedroom. If I was at work when one of the cats pooped and couldn’t clean out the box till I got home, the smell would linger for hours after I dumped it. 2) Definitely not flushable, despite being advertised as such. 3) Tracked everywhere. I love my cats, but I wouldn’t have them if this were the only option for cat litter on the market. Disgusting, waste of money.

  • Almost perfect

    By on

I have been using this litter for about six months now and I have used the large and small grain. They both track badly but is the most unique litter I have ever seen. I really like it except for the tracking. Well, I believe I have that figured out. I had an old half sack of wheat litter which I didn't totally love because it doesn't clump really well, so I was running low of Garfield and added a couple of big scoops of the wheat in with the Garfield and wow, hardly any tracking at all and the Garfield helps with way better clumping. A win win!!

  • only bought it because it was half price

When I saw this in the store and read that the package claimed this litter was both flushable and non-tracking I thought "yes! Finally!" but I don't think I'll buy it again. Although it does control odor well and is flushable (after leaving it in the toilet for 20-30 minutes...don't forget it's there!), it is one of the worst litters for tracking that I've used. Scamper tracks it everywhere, all over the room, in her bed, it's just a mess. The convenience of being able to flush litter clumps is not worth the extra time and effort of sweeping and vacuuming so much more than with the previous brand of litter.

  • BEST litter!!

    By on

As a lifelong cat owner, frequent petsitter and recuse shelter volunteer, I feel this is hands down the BEST litter I’ve seen or used. I prefer the larger grains in the purple packaging to the finer, sandlike texture of the green bags, but they’re both outstanding!! Zero dust, clumps immediately & SOLID, unscented yet seems to absorb urine odor well, and most importantly, clay and chemical free, and non-toxic for cats & their owners. It’s even flushable, although I do not flush it. Only complaint is I can no longer find it in my local stores, thank goodness Chewy.com caries it!

  • Great If You Scoop Daily

    By on

This is the easiest litter to scoop and it really traps in the odors... unless you let it sit for longer than a day... then the smell of urine becomes very strong and the clumps fall apart (like they would if you soaked them in the toilet to flush - which I don't do)! As long as you don't get lazy this litter is amazing!

  • Best Cat Litter....safe for Kittens too....

    By on

I've toilet trained my smart little Bengal Kitten with Litter Kwitter but the steps involved using Kitty Litter. The clay drove me crazy and was so much work and messy...always getting in between Kitty's paws and dust everywhere. Once we got to the 2nd stage I needed to have a flushable litter since it falls through the hole on the toilet into the water. This was perfect. It has a sweet smell too....so much that my kitty once in a while would eat a little...but he eats EVERYTHING. I've recently reordered since he was Neutered and wearing a cone it's a bit hard for him to get up on the toilet so I went back to the litter box. Funny, but he preferred the floor and within a day was back on the toilet I've toilet trained my smart little Bengal Kitten with Litter Kwitter but the steps involved using Kitty Litter. I keep this litter on hand just in case I need to use his trays on the toilet for more support if he's had any medical issues or an upset tummy. Works great and safe for pipes. … more

  • Great at clumping!

    By on

I love this stuff, and it works great. It's just a little expensive. It clumps really hard, and works decent at controlling smells, even though it doesn't have added fragrance. It does end up outside of the litter box more than some heavier, larger grain litters, like Tidy Cats.

  • Very nice litter

    By on

So far I like this one a lot. I have been trying different flushables and they have all been pretty good. What I like about this is the white color which would show if there is a problem and the tight clumps formed. No odor if it's cleaned once or twice a day. I might stick with this in the long run but will try World's Best for Multiple Cats again - also excellent, before deciding.

  • East clean up

    By on

I have a studio apartment so the only place sensible for my cats litter is the bathroom. This litter makes it easy to clean up everyday and flush it. If i procrastinate on clean it smells worse then the regular litter. So the only down side is it didn't mask the order well.
