The amount of food your dog needs will vary depending on breed, activity level, age and climate. Use our feeding chart as a guide, adjusting the quantity fed to achieve your dog’s ideal weight. We suggest feeding twice a day. Provide fresh, clean water at all times. Regular exercise will help maintain a healthy body weight. Love, attention and tummy rubs should be given freely, as often as possible.
The transition period should be at minimum, ten days and could take upwards of two weeks, depending on your pet’s sensitivity to change. On day one, introduce 10% new food and 90% old food. Keep the food at this ratio for two or more days. Next, increase the ratio to 20% new food and 80% old food for two or more days. Repeat increasing in increments of 10% until you’re feeding 100% of the new food. If your pet experiences any kind of digestive upset during this time, try slowing down the process to let his or her digestive tract adjust to the new food. Some vomiting and/or diarrhea can be normal when introducing new foods as the digestive process and the naturally occurring bacteria your pet’s body requires is a complex and delicate system. If you experience any vomiting and/or diarrhea, be sure to reduce the amount of new food the next time you feed and overall, slow the whole transition period down even more.

4 Paws Up for Gather
By AussieMom2 on Sep 10, 2020
My aussies have had a hard time this summer w itchy skin. In additional to seasonal allergies we’ve had extreme heat and fires so they seem to be scratching nonstop. I’m hopeful that this food will help alleviate some of the scratching along w some fish oil. They eat all kinds of premium foods but this one they absolutely love. I add a T of wet food (Portland Pet Company) to top it and they inhaled it, licked their bowls and waited to see if perhaps there was a second round available! I’m happy it’s responsibly sourced and made in Canada. Highly recommend!

we absolutely love
By joei on Aug 14, 2020
I have a very finicky maltipoo and this brand was recommended by our local pet store and he's been obsessed since plus I have peace of mind knowing the ingridients are safe. The brand seems to no longer be available locally due to some shipping issues from the manufacturer so I was thrilled to see it sold here. thank you!

My very picky dogs
By Anna on Jul 18, 2019
My dogs refused to eat gather wild ocean, not sure why because they are used to eat Zignature white fish without any problem. However they loved “Now” red meat from the same company. So I guess they made their choice.

Quality kibble at last!
By PiePie on May 14, 2019
We've tried so many kibbles and finally found a high quality item which is LOVED by our rescue, Esme. She's basically turned her nose up at everything else we're tried. Variety is important to me when I eat, and I want the same for my precious best friend. We use Gather in addition to her organic soft food and her freeze-dried salmon bites by Stella and Chewy.

Best Dry Food I've Found
By Yogamom on Jan 14, 2019
I switched to this since Orijen is now made in Kentucky, rather than Canada. This food is from Canada. My small dogs eat is happily. I took off one star because I am disappointed that is contains peas and lentils. I eat those ingredients but I don't see the necessity for it in dog food.

Buddy 's food
By Viha on Oct 8, 2018
First thing I noticed was how good it smelled, bought for our daschund, but all my big dogs want it so will have to buy for them as well.Impressed with the ingredients, am very concerned with what my dogs are fed

I was very skeptical before I purchased this.
By MIMI on May 17, 2018
My puppy and I were very loyal to Orijen . I have tried many well-known brands with great reputations since Orijen kibbles are neither made in Canada nor available in Chewy. I finally found the one that both my puppy and I love. Gather is the best over all the dry kibbles we have tried. What I like the most about Gather is that my puppy actually eats this food. I would strongly recommend Gather for dogs with picky tast, ichy skin or tear stains. Yes, it is more expensive than most dry foods on market. For the reason, I hesitated to buy Gather. But quality wise nothing beats this one. You get what you pay for.
