Second step was missing metal inserts for the thumb screws to attach too. Luckily had some nuts and bolts on hand and made it work. Wood it not good enough quality for the price. Gen7 must be out of business. Phone number is disconnected and product registration website no longer exists.

I am a huge Chewy fan and have been a loyal customer for years. I can't believe Chewy allows this item to be sold in its current condition at an outrageous price. The item was delivered quickly and after unpacking the disappointment began. The stairs were poorly finished with irremovable packing material glued to the sides.The quality of materials was only fair, nothing like a piece of furniture. The stair weight was marginal allowing the unit to move when the 60 pound dog attempted to use. The cheap carpet strips held with Velcro to the stair treads was installed crooked with a very uneven surface. The unit is at best a poor value. Well-made and attractive stairs. As mentioned in other reviews, there was Styrofoam-like packing materials stuck to some of the wood, but it was removable with a little effort. Not sure if the manufacturer went out of business, as I couldn’t reach them by phone or website to register the product for warranty purposes. Still, I don’t regret the purchase.

They look great, and seem solid. My dog is only 9 pounds so not a huge deal if they weren’t, but after only a couple hours of initial distrust, she’s going up and down just fine. A few other people have noted in their reviews that it’s badly made or damaged upon arrival. Mine was mostly ok, but I did have to scrape off packing material and there’s a small crack in the base of the second stair. Pictures attached. Neither of these things is a big deal to me. It was so easy to put together!

Finally time to change to my current pet stair into this new 3 step stair. Poor quality and finishing, the foam melt into the side of the step when I took it out of the box. Can't scrape it off with nails!

I purchased this item to assist my 11 year old lab getting up on the bed - he just doesn't have the hind leg strength he used to. This handles his weight no problem. Only issue we've had is that as you can see the bottom step is narrower than the top step, so to his eyes it doesn't look like a good step. It's taken a lot of coercion to get him to use it and we are still working on it. But all the steps nest into each other when the unit is broken down and it is well made and looks nice. Overall a good purchase.

Great steps with removable carpeting on top of each so can be cleaned. Reaches my high up bed and has a place to store kitty toys in second step. I would highly recommend with one exception. The packing material styrofoam stuck to the framing on the sides of a couple of steps. I was able to get off but think maybe was packed too soon after staining. Still would order again if needed a second set.

Took me longer to get it out of the box then it did to put it together. Sturdy, quality product. Would have no problem recommending this product to a friend.

This is my second time purchasing these pet steps. It is very well made, high quality workmanship, and beautiful wherever you need them. I have one in my living room and one in my bedroom so my furry friends can get on the sofa and bed. I have 3 pets, 5-6 lbs and they can come and go as they please. I discourage jumping off furniture because I fear they may injure themselves and possibly break a leg. These steps look beautiful and are easy for your pet to use.

These steps are the "bomb". Easy to assemble, look fantastic and help both the fur baby an us to "climb" into bed. Actually she does not climb into bed, just comes up to give a wake up smooch. Love the removable carpet pads on top, help the pawster not to slip and slide.
