Great coat!
The design of this coat is really great - it Velcro’s around the stomach and neck so it covers your dog well, but is way easier to get on then the ones your dog has to step into. The Sherpa lining is great and makes my dog happy to wear it. It’s just the right amount of warmth for a variety of temperatures and weather conditions. I did have trouble with getting the correct size - my dog Pippa was hard to measure - the 3xl was way too big and the xl was a bit too small - like Goldilocks, the 2x was just right. For reference, she’s about 50 pounds. I would recommend going by the length measurement and then girth. But Chewy, as always, had great customer service. It does have a slit on top where you can put the leash through - but I haven’t been able to get Pippa to calm down enough before her walks to try using that feature.
Great coat
I bought two of these-one for the front door & one for the backdoor-for my puppy, and they work great! I keep the front Velcro closed and slip it over her head and then close the belly Velcro and she's on her way. They keep her warm and she looks adorable in them too!
Jed loves his snowsuit!
When i first rescued my dog last year, although he was, in theory, 2, it turns out that in a year he added a lot of muscle and his chest became deeper. Last year's snowsuit was too snug this year. So we order another one, he loves it and we're happy. VERY easy to put on and keeps him comfortable at our windy dog park in CT.
Cute but didn't last
The velcro didn't even last a full season. I bought this last year and the velcro in the front stopped staying closed late in the season. I brought it out again this year, but the velcro in the front is almost completely useless now. The coat is so cute, but doesn't do much good if it won't stay on. For this price I expected it to last more than a few months.
Great Dog Coat
Love this!! So soft, cozy, and warm. I want one for me. My dog is a 7 month old Mini Australian Shepherd about 25 lbs. I was unsure what size to order her but went with the measurements on the chart and ordered her a large. It fits her perfectly and she has a little room to grow into it since she's not quite done growing. I also love that it doesn't have leg holes so it's easy to put on. She seems very happy with it.
