There was a small hole in one of the metal bowls and it took us over a week to realize that the water was leeching slowly into our floors. It caused a significant problem. Also, the unit doesn't have a grippy base so it slides around when the dogs are eating.
We turn this bowl holder on its side every night and it still developed mold after a month or so. Does not allow the water to drain off the flat surface while holding bowls.
My dog is very tall so eating from a bowl on the floor was causing him trouble with his esophagus. He was choking and coughing a LOT. After some research, a taller bowl was suggested and this bowl is perfect. It’s the perfect height and looks great in the kitchen.
sorry to hear this is a discontinued item because it is a well-mad item and it is just the right height for Mercedes.
This elevated feeding bowl is not as high off the ground as it appeared in the pictures. I should have double checked the measurements before ordering. Beside the height issue, the bowl size works great.
