Description

Help your pooch get around easily and comfortably with the GingerLead Support & Rehabilitation Small Breed Dog Lifting Harness. It’s recommended by veterinarians and used in vet hospitals and clinics to help dogs with weak hind legs walk. The padded corduroy hugs your pal’s belly and doesn’t bunch, while the durable construction is sturdy to support your dog’s hind end so your pooch can have more mobility with your help. For the male harness, a V-shape cutout helps make room for him to answer the call of nature and it’s also machine washable so you can keep it clean. Thanks to the adjustable-height straps, you can stand up straight while supporting your dog with less back strain, and it comes with a comfy padded handle and a built-in leash that can be hooked to your pal’s harness or collar. It’s perfect for senior dogs with limited mobility or joint conditions like arthritis or degenerative myelopathy, as well as pups recovering from knee, hip or back surgeries or injuries.

For a snug and comfy fit, please check the sizing chart under the “Size” tab, and make sure the pad width can accommodate your pal’s dimensions. Looked good

Its somewhat cumbersome to use. I gave up on it. It may have been easier had we trained our dog to walk with this device weeks before needing to use it. Also there are a few size adjustments needed. Again better to figure all that out before needing to use it. In our case our dog had knee surgery so walking on 3 legs and with a device she was not familiar with made it difficult.

    Lifting harness

    By on

I purchased this because my dog is 15 and has difficulty walking at times due to weakness in the hind limbs and needs assistance. He weighs 15 lbs which is borderline between the two sizes. The smaller size strap would be too narrow, but this one may be too wide. The harness itself is well made and adjustable. As soon as I received the harness, his walking improved...I haven’t used it yet.

    Excellent Product

Our English Cocker Spaniel tore both ACL's in his rear legs and was unable to walk. Surgery was done on one leg but he still could'nt walk and was hurting. The GingerLead was used to help him get up, use stairs and for going to do his business. The nice thing about this product is the adjustable straps, it really saves your back when walking or excising the dog. There are other products available but most require you to bend to the dogs back. After 6 weeks of recovery we still use it to help on stairs. The product really helped us and the dog!

    One problem

    By on

I have a dachshund. Each time I carefully place this support on him, he pees all over it and it needs to be washed. I ordered the correct side but the underside of the support is too long.

Good quality lead. Works well for my dog and myself. Takes a little time for dog to get adjusted. But it is comfortable for him. I would recommend this lead.

Affordable & Helpful item as suggested by vet to purchase per need.

    By on

Our 12 yr old dachshund one morning was suddenly paralyzed. No idea how. Vet check indicated a possible pinched nerve and if disc would require a very expensive surgery. Doc suggested Gingerlead from Chewy to support our boy while trying to go potty. Unfortunately, we only got to use the Gingerlead 5 times before having to put our beloved pet down.

Huge Back Saver for you and your dog!!!

    By on

This has been a life saver. We have a lab that suddenly has developed issues with arthritis which is causing difficulty with steps. She does fine when she gets on the ground. We use this to help her get off the porch AND its a huge back saver.
