Great supplement
My 4 yo rottie is 12 weeks post Tplo surgery and is stronger than ever! I believe this supplement is really helping him! I will keep him on it!
Great For Mobility!
Several years ago my dog participated in a research study for this product to be released in the US! It made such a difference in my 9 yr. old GSD's mobility!! After the study they gave us 6 more months of product! He was on it for a year. Afterwards I found different sources of Green Lipped Muscles but never quite got the same result. Iko is now 14 1/2 with major hip problems. I was so glad to find this product!!! It's pricy but includes Glucosamine and Chondroitin so I can give one supplement instead of two. I highly recommend it. Picture of Iko who jumped up onto the sofa! Crazy pup!
So so hard
I had such high hopes for these. I read the reviews before I purchased the chews and was surprised at the negative reviews commenting on how hard they are. I thought it was a trivial complaint until I tried to give them to my dog. They are SO hard. They should not be called a “Chew”. There is no way I could give these to my boy who has had tie back surgery, let alone a senior dog who can’t chew hard things anymore. I tried cutting them, crushing them, and soaking them in warm water. After cutting them in tiny pieces, I mixed them into his food. After less than a week, he smelled his food and turned his head. Being a lab, that speaks volumes! His mobility also went downhill rapidly. I can not say it is a side effect of the chews, but after three negative experiences, I am no longer giving them to him.
Great for hip issues
This product was highly recommended by my veterinarian. I have had my girl on it for close to a month and it appears to be helping, even with the cold weather. I still provide some other supplements for joints, however, I would recommend this product. Chewy is a great place to find items like this, and delivery was fast, efficient, and easy.
Work great but they are HARD!
I’m not a believer in supplements, but I was ready to try any thing for my 11 year old GSD. She’s had hip issues all her life and started having knee issues as well. These treats put a noticeable pep in her step and she was chasing her ball again! I really think they are helping her a lot, but my dog’s teeth are not the strongest now in old age, and these are hard as a rock! I have to chop them in half to hide them in her food, and it’s so hard to get her to eat them when she picks them out before they are about the texture of fruit leather that’s been left out for a month, and 5 times thicker than that. These need to be softer! Flavor wise, my dog seems to be ok with it some days, and other days we have to beg her to eat it. Bottom line is that they work, but they certainly can be easier to eat.
Good product
My dogs seem to like the flavor of these just fine. I do have to break them into smaller pieces for them to eat - this is a job because the chews are really pretty hard as the other reviews have noted.
GLYDE chewables
Recommended by my vet. Dog love them..thinks they're a treat. Old dog with arthritis...and this product is helping.
Excellent results for my ten year old Newfie
My 145 lb newfie started having joint pain this year. He is ten. His vet suggested glucosamine. Tried liquid that they use for horses (and dogs) saw no change. Tried another brand cheaper than this one, no change. Tried Glyde. He was up and walking and got up easier. I decided they were too pricey so tried another 4 star rated one. He was back to limping and struggling to get up. I felt awful. Got the glydes again and he is doing wonderful again. So I know its real and not placebo or imagined. So I am not switching again. Warning though to those with sensitive teeth.....they are very hard to chew. You would think something made to help seniors would offer a soft chew too.

my 6 year old cav has arthritis. while he liked the taste of these fine, they don't seem to have done much for his joints
