What is the difference of Daily Feeding (chew) and Maintenance Daily on the feeding info
Answer by • Oct 16, 2021
An initial loading dose can help your dog rapidly achieve a therapeutic level of glucosamine, chondroitin and of course, green lipped mussel (GLM). Think of it as a booster to get you started. You can always go straight to the maintenance dose, although it may take longer to see results. If your dog is already on another arthritis supplement, go straight to the maintenance dose.
can you use these with puppies?
Answer by • May 18, 2021
Glyde can be used during all stages in a dog’s life. Glyde can be used in young dogs as a preventative and ongoing throughout their dog’s lives to maintain healthy joints.
What is the Omega 3 Fatty Acid percentage?
Answer by • Jan 27, 2021
There is not an exact percentage of Omega-3 fatty acids in Glyde, as it is not added separately into the formulation. One of Glyde’s main active ingredients however is New Zealand Green Lipped Mussel (GLM). GLM is the only natural source of ETA, a powerful Omega-3 fatty acid that is 300 times more potent than EPA. However, GLM contains a breadth of lipids naturally that offer much more than a single fatty acid ingredient. The lipid fraction of GLM contains many fatty acid classes including polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs), which are composed of both omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. GLM contains 31 different PUFAs, 90 different fatty acids, and 18 sterols, and has a higher proportion of omega-3s than sardines, anchovies, and cod liver. The active ingredient percentage of GLM in Glyde is 45%. So Glyde offers all the benefits of omega-3 and 6s but additional other PUFAs and lipids that are also beneficial.
