The amount of food your dog needs will vary depending on breed, activity level, age and climate. Use our feeding chart as a guide, adjusting the quantity fed to achieve your dog’s ideal weight.

We suggest feeding twice a day, puppies more often. Provide fresh, clean water at all times. Regular exercise will help maintain a healthy body weight. Love, attention and tummy rubs should be given freely, as often as possible.

Pregnant/lactating females: increase intake by 50%.

Transition Instructions

It’s important to slowly transition your pet to a new food so their system has a chance to adapt to the change. The transition period should be at minimum, 10 days and could take upwards of 2 weeks, depending on your pet’s sensitivity to change. On day one, introduce 10% new food / 90% old food. Keep the food at this ratio for 2 or more days. Next, increase the ratio to 20% new food / 80% old food for 2 or more days. Repeat increasing in increments of 10% until you’re feeding 100% of the new food. If your pet experiences any kind of digestive upset during this time, try slowing down the process to let his/her digestive tract adjust to the new food. Some vomiting and/or diarrhea can be normal when introducing new foods as the digestive process and the naturally occurring bacteria your pet’s body requires is a complex and delicate system. If you experience any vomiting and/or diarrhea, be sure to reduce the amount of new food the next time you feed and overall, slow the whole transition period down even more.

I followed the feeding guidelines on your packaging, but my pet is too fat/thin. Why?

Feeding Guidelines are simply a place to start. You should increase or decrease the amount you feed based on your pet’s activity level and weight.

Are the ingredients used in Petcurean products “human-grade”?

All of our fresh meat and meat meal ingredients are sourced from animals passed fit for human consumption by the CFIA. The fruits and vegetables used in our recipes also come from the human food chain. We do not, however, claim that our ingredients are “human-grade”; once an individual ingredient leaves a “human-grade” processing facility and enters a “pet food” processor, the ingredient loses its “human-grade” classification.

What is an organic ingredient?

A certified organic ingredient provides a guarantee that the ingredient has met strict government standards for how food is grown, handled and processed; using organic agricultural methods. Organic agriculture focuses on farming practices that encourage soil and water conservation and regeneration, and reduces pollution. Organic farmers use natural fertilizers and pest control methods to benefit the soil, plants and animals for a healthy environment.

Where are your products made?

Our SPIKE Jerky Treats are manufactured in Gainsville, Georgia and our SPIKE Treat Bars are made in Brampton, Ontario. We are 100% China free for processing and ingredient sourcing. • Great dog food

    By on

Our dogs have been eating the Go! line since they were puppies. We like the fact that we can use the same food for them throughout their lives, as it is for all stages of life! The Go! Line is full of essential ingredients and the proper amount of protein that our dogs need, and that is very important to us. The fact that I don’t need to try finding it in a store anymore is an awesome bonus!

  • Good, but not great

    By on

I tried this brand and another after receiving some coupons. My dog ate this a little more than the other brand I purchased, but I am back today to buy the brand (that costs much more, which I suspect is due to the ingredients) that my dog prefers.

My 8 year old lab has been eating this brand for 6 years and he looks forward to eating his yummy food. My new 1 year old dog also enjoys the chicken formula. I love seeing my two dogs enjoy their food.

Our Pitties loved the Go Lean, Grain Free Turkey, which is no longer carried on your site. The switch to Go Lean, Grain Free Chicken was an easy choice, and based on our dog's cleaning of their bowls, a very good one.

Have been feeding GO brand to my dogs since the we're 10 was old. No fillers all natural. And the size of the food works for little dogs also. No stomach issues, their coats are always full and shiny.

  • Recommend for digestive problems.

    By on

My dog has digestive problems, recurrent pancreatitis, and she does very well on this food. The dog is going on twelve years old. The bouts of the recurrent pancreatitis are rare since she went on this food. Thank you.
