The amount of food your cat needs will vary depending on breed, activity level, age and climate. Use our feeding chart as a guide, adjusting the quantity fed to achieve your cat's ideal weight. We suggest feeding twice a day. Provide fresh, clean water at all times. Regular exercise will help maintain a healthy body weight. Love, attention and tummy rubs should be given freely, as often as possible.

Transition Instructions

It’s important to slowly transition your pet to a new food so their system has a chance to adapt to the change. The transition period should be at minimum, 10 days and could take upwards of 2 weeks, depending on your pet’s sensitivity to change. On day one, introduce 10% new food / 90% old food. Keep the food at this ratio for 2 or more days. Next, increase the ratio to 20% new food / 80% old food for 2 or more days. Repeat increasing in increments of 10% until you’re feeding 100% of the new food. If your pet experiences any kind of digestive upset during this time, try slowing down the process to let his/her digestive tract adjust to the new food. Some vomiting and/or diarrhea can be normal when introducing new foods as the digestive process and the naturally occurring bacteria your pet’s body requires is a complex and delicate system. If you experience any vomiting and/or diarrhea, be sure to reduce the amount of new food the next time you feed and overall, slow the whole transition period down even more.

I followed the feeding guidelines on your packaging, but my pet is too fat/thin. Why?

Feeding Guidelines are simply a place to start. You should increase or decrease the amount you feed based on your pet’s activity level and weight.

Are the ingredients used in Petcurean products “human-grade”?

All of our fresh meat and meat meal ingredients are sourced from animals passed fit for human consumption by the CFIA. The fruits and vegetables used in our recipes also come from the human food chain. We do not, however, claim that our ingredients are “human-grade”; once an individual ingredient leaves a “human-grade” processing facility and enters a “pet food” processor, the ingredient loses its “human-grade” classification.

What is an organic ingredient?

A certified organic ingredient provides a guarantee that the ingredient has met strict government standards for how food is grown, handled and processed; using organic agricultural methods. Organic agriculture focuses on farming practices that encourage soil and water conservation and regeneration, and reduces pollution. Organic farmers use natural fertilizers and pest control methods to benefit the soil, plants and animals for a healthy environment.

Where are your products made?

Petcurean dry pet foods are produced in Ontario, Canada. Our canned products are primarily produced in Ontario, Canada and secondarily at a plant in New Jersey, USA. Our SPIKE Jerky Treats are manufactured in Gainsville, Georgia and our SPIKE Treat Bars are made in Brampton, Ontario. We are 100% China free for processing and ingredient sourcing. • One of the BEST dog foods!

This brand is from Canada, and Canada has a higher standard for processing dog food, so that is the first reason why I'm very pleased with Go! The second reason is that my 11-year-old pup has a pretty sensitive stomach, but when he's on this particular formula his BM is incredibly normal and healthy, he also loves the crunch to this kibble, unlike some other brands I've tried. Also just a note, he's lost 5 pounds on this food so far and doesn't seem to be super hungry throughout the day until dinner time, it satiates him perfectly to his caloric intake requirement. The fact that the ingredients of this food have alfalfa doesn't bother me as it's not one of the top ingredients, rather meat proteins are within the first three ingredients, and that is a winner for me. My husband who is usually pretty frugal about the cost of our dog food has said that he wants to stay with Go! despite there being other cheaper brands of dog food. With Go! I feel confident in what's going inside of our sweet puppy. Of all the high-end premium dog foods, Go! is more affordable, and to be quite honest Dante likes it much more than Orijen, Acana, Eagle Pack, Fromm, Primal, and Stella and Chewy. So thankful that Chewy is carrying this brand!!!!! … more

  • Love it! And so does my dog

    By on

I have a senior overweight cocker spaniel. Love of my life. I had been struggling to find a food that 1st he didn't get tired, 2nd was special for senior dogs and helped with his over weight. Go does it all. I don't think I will order another brand I do wish they had a bigger flavor variety just to spicy things up.

  • Dogs love it

This food is fed to my 2 seniors: large dogs, eight and nine years old . It has kept fresh and the dogs love it. I especially like the large kibble size. Coats are shiny, no stomach issues. Will order it again!

  • Dogs really love it

    By on Top 500 Contributor

My 3 dogs enjoy this both added to their daily food and as training treats. I like the ingredient list and the "novel" protein, trout. My only exception is the alfalfa. This is not the only company I noticed recently adding this grazing animal's standard to dog food, and I don't care for the practice. So this gets 4 stars instead of 5, and I will continue to look at other foods.

  • like it a lot

I get the senior. Have only used it a few weeks, but I like it and my dogs do, too. It's high in meat protein; the manufacturing plants are EU certified; no byproducts, of course, and the dogs actually crunch the pieces based on the size and shape of the kibble (not too big, not hard to swallow). I was looking for a less fattening food. One dog has hip problems, the other is about 7yo. This senior suits them both, with the extra joint supplements. I like the multiple protein sources and that it's grain-free. I expect it to help one dog's skin allergy.

  • Dogs did not like

    By on

Read reviews, all but one were positive, so I decided to buy. My dogs eat about anything and with a 13+ year old dog, this sounded promising for her achy joints. Both of the girls do not like it, at all. Been trying for a week to no avail. Will have to toss it out.

We use the recommended quantity for each dog and they seem to like the food; stool is normal; energy levels are high. Overall, a well made product!

  • Great dog food

    By on

I used to feed my Shepard another grain free dog food but they switched their formula and she did not like it. So I switched her to Go Fit and Free Grain Free Chicken, Turkey and Trout Senior dog food and it was the best thing I did. This product has great features especially for my 91/2 year old German Shepard. Depending how active she is is what I determine how much food I food I give to her. I feed her twice a day. Her coat is shinny and she has lots of energy. When I walk her people always compliment my dog being beautiful and they could not believe how old she is. So for my dog this is GREAT food for her.
