Feeding Instructions

Adult: Feed about 1 can per 6 - 8 lbs body weight per day Kitten: Feed up to 2x the amount as Adults to kittens Gestation and Lactation: Feed up to 3x the normal Adult amount

Feed at room temperature and refrigerate unused portion. Always provide access to clean, fresh water. The amount of food your cat requires will depend on activity level, age, breed of cat, and climate.

Transition Instructions

It’s important to slowly transition your pet to a new food so their system has a chance to adapt to the change. The transition period should be at minimum, 10 days and could take upwards of 2 weeks, depending on your pet’s sensitivity to change. On day one, introduce 10% new food / 90% old food. Keep the food at this ratio for 2 or more days. Next, increase the ratio to 20% new food / 80% old food for 2 or more days. Repeat increasing in increments of 10% until you’re feeding 100% of the new food. If your pet experiences any kind of digestive upset during this time, try slowing down the process to let his/her digestive tract adjust to the new food. Some vomiting and/or diarrhea can be normal when introducing new foods as the digestive process and the naturally occurring bacteria your pet’s body requires is a complex and delicate system. If you experience any vomiting and/or diarrhea, be sure to reduce the amount of new food the next time you feed and overall, slow the whole transition period down even more.

I followed the feeding guidelines on your packaging, but my pet is too fat/thin. Why?

Feeding Guidelines are simply a place to start. You should increase or decrease the amount you feed based on your pet’s activity level and weight.

Are the ingredients used in Petcurean products “human-grade”?

All of our fresh meat and meat meal ingredients are sourced from animals passed fit for human consumption by the CFIA. The fruits and vegetables used in our recipes also come from the human food chain. We do not, however, claim that our ingredients are “human-grade”; once an individual ingredient leaves a “human-grade” processing facility and enters a “pet food” processor, the ingredient loses its “human-grade” classification.

What is an organic ingredient?

A certified organic ingredient provides a guarantee that the ingredient has met strict government standards for how food is grown, handled and processed; using organic agricultural methods. Organic agriculture focuses on farming practices that encourage soil and water conservation and regeneration, and reduces pollution. Organic farmers use natural fertilizers and pest control methods to benefit the soil, plants and animals for a healthy environment.

    The Perfect Fit.

    By on

I’ve been searching for a wet food for my boys now that they are adults and only need 200-210 cal a day. I have 3 boys and they get fed 3x a day. So when we found this one, I was so excited. I can now feed them 1 can a meal split 3 ways. And cut back on their supplements since this food already has a lot of what I supplement in it. The first time I gave them this they dove in! They love it! And I love that it’s only .4% carbs (wet matter) and 2% on dry matter basis. Cats only “need” 0-3% carbs, and has multiple proteins! This will forever be their food!

    Best wet can food!

    By on

I researched for hours to find a high protein low carb cat food. This one beat them all. Made in Canada and NOTHING comes from China. So far my cats are transitioning fine from their old food.

    Big Hit with Connie

    By on

Connie loves this brand. She is not a picky eater unlike her son who prefers dry food. She marches around at 5 PM to let me know its time for her dinner. She doesn't leave her bowl until every last morsel is eaten.

Good quality food but cats won't eat it.

    By on

I could maybe convince my cats to eat it when they are really hungry. Otherwise they want nothing to do with it. However, they do like the chicken turkey and trout stew one.

As long as I rotated this soft food with their dry food, my cats would gobble this up!

    Love love love

Both of my cats love this food and I love how healthy it is as well. One of my cats is picky and refuses to eat tiki cat in the past. However, when I gave him this wet food, he just went all over it. Will be purchasing it again

    No gooooooo!!

    By on

Unfortunately my cat Bella turned her head towards this food. I have a whole piece of food sitting in my cabinet. I tried numerous times trying to see her but she turns her head again. What a waste. It looks very healthy, I wish she would only eat it!

None Of The Cats Are Interested

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

It's unanimous... none of my five cats like this food. I even tried a to put a topper on it and they still won't touch it. The food is very hard for pate so I mixed it with warm water to soften it up but they still wouldn't eat it. Even the two month old kitten I'm fostering won't lick at it and he usually likes to eat everything!

This is my cat's new favorite food! He's not really picky to begin with, but I've never seen him dive into a food like this!
