The amount of food your dog needs will vary depending on breed, activity level, age and climate. Feed Adult dogs twice a day and puppies more often. Provide fresh, clean water at all times. Regular exercise will help maintain a healthy body weight. Love, attention and tummy rubs should be given freely, as often as possible.
It’s important to slowly transition your pet to a new food so their system has a chance to adapt to the change. The transition period should be at minimum, 10 days and could take upwards of 2 weeks, depending on your pet’s sensitivity to change.
- Day 1 & 2: Feed 80% of your pet’s old food with 20% of the new food
- Day 3 & 4: Feed 60% of your pet’s old food with 40% of the new food
- Day 5 & 6: Feed 40% of your pet’s old food with 60% of the new food
- Day 7, 8 & 9: Feed 20% of your pet’s old food with 80% of the new food
- Day 10 & Forever: Feed 100% new food
Are the ingredients used in this product “human-grade”?
All of our fresh meat and meat meal ingredients are sourced from animals passed fit for human consumption by the CFIA. The fruits and vegetables used in our recipes also come from the human food chain. We do not, however, claim that our ingredients are “human-grade”; once an individual ingredient leaves a “human-grade” processing facility and enters a “pet food” processor, the ingredient loses its “human-grade” classification.
Where is this product made?
Go! dry pet foods are produced in Ontario, Canada. We are 100% China free for processing and ingredient sourcing. None of our meat proteins, grains, cereals, fruits and vegetables in any of our recipes are processed in China, and none of our ingredients are sourced in China.
Is your food baked or extruded?
Our goal is to maintain the nutritional integrity of the ingredients we use in our recipes and so we extrude our foods at temperatures which are lower than typical baking. The end result; a nutrient-rich, highly digestible product for pets.
Sometimes the color and shape of the kibbles can vary. Why?
At Petcurean, we formulate our recipes using real food ingredients, and like real food that Mother Nature provides, the color and texture of the ingredients going into our recipes varies. For example; Meat supply will vary between different suppliers and batches (e.g. dark meat vs. white meat). Also, diets with a higher meat content are denser and sometimes more difficult to extrude (versus cereal or grains) which leads to variance in the kibble shape. Oils, as they are applied, either outside of or inside the kibble, can affect the color and the density (size) of the kibble. Oils also play a significant role in the palatability of the food. Finally, Petcurean does not use any artificial colors, flavors or preservatives, which also contributes to variances of the color and texture.
What is the shelf life of Go! dry cat food?
Our dry foods have a shelf life of 16 months.

They changed it again!
By Dana on Aug 27, 2020
Product has changed. Thought smaller kibbles were great BUT dog got sick Kibble is different colour and size from last bag of kibble. My dog has allergies. Finding food he can eat is a trial for us both. Unexpected changes like this wreak havoc! 2nd time they have done this over the years. Good Bye Go!

Great food !!!
By RUMER on May 24, 2020 Top 1000 Contributor
Due to the COVID 19 I wasn’t able to cook for my dogs. Trying to find 30lbs of meat per week was impossible. I was forced to put them back on kibble. They didn't do well on raw. I’ve tried several LID diets and this one seems to work the best for them. They were able to transition easily. It appears to be highly digestible & just the right amount of fiber to where they are not pooping 3-4 times a day. They are less itchy too. I have 3 border collies and a shih tzu they all love it. They are all senior dogs 7 years & up. It’s a little more expensive than other LID but seems to be worth the extra cost. I recommend trying it...

Just Okay For Shepherd
By Jewel on May 11, 2020
I hoped this would be the magic bullet to help with my German Shepherds' allergies, but it really doesn't help at all. He still has to take Apoquel to get through the day still. He loves duck jerky that I buy but he is not in love with this kibble. The cardboard box the bag of dog food was delivered in was almost totally destroyed so the kibbles of course got pulverized too, lots of crumbs in the bag. Very disappointed with the delivery of my product.

My little tea cup pooch, loves the taste of duck found in this dog food. She will now eat nothing else. A little spoil, you think!

I have a picky eater with allergies, he has been the type to flip his bowl for some of the foods he has been given, this is our first food that he won’t flip over and keeps him healthy.

Go! Review
By Talulah on Apr 9, 2020
Go! Sensitivities has decreased itching and scratching in my dog, who is allergic to everything including potatoes. This is the only brand I have been able to find that doesn't contain any ingredients she is allergic to.

High Quality Dry Food - Fantastic Option for Allergy Dogs!
By ItsMe on Dec 31, 2019
We have 2 large breed dogs on Go! LID dry food for ~4 years now with ZERO complaint. Finding a quality dog food to work with both our mixed breed dogs can be a challenge – especially one with allergies to Chicken, Lamb and White Potato! Both our girls love Go!, have healthy consistent stool and good energy. I have also NOT switched brands after the DCM scare for 2 main reasons (even with the recent decrease from 25lb bags to 22lb at the same price) 1 - As stated we have an allergy girl - LOL. It is hard to find a dog food without Chicken Meal, Chicken Fat or Potato Protein further down the list! Even harder to find multiple flavors in the same brand. It is hard to find a dog food without Chicken Meal, Chicken Fat or Potato Protein further down the list! Even harder to find multiple flavors in the same brand. So we love that Go! has different protein options that do not include hidden Chicken, Lamb or White Potato. So, I do not mind paying more for what she needs. 2 - I have always fed 75% dry kibble and 25% wet, mostly meat topper/mix in’s - so DCM has not ‘worried’ me as much as we just needed a great dry dog food as a base. Another plus - recently, I noticed Go! added Taurine to these LID dry foods – probably why the 3lb reduction in bag size? Again, I’m okay with this as I buy this food as this works with both my girls. … more

This food doesn't have chicken or potatoes so i give it an A+. May not be Baby Girls favorite but she eats it.

Very good food
By SharChavi on Feb 11, 2020
My Boston puppies were having a hard time digesting the other brands, they would throw up undigested food halfway through the day. But so far this brand of food has been doing well for them. They haven't thrown up or had diarrhea. They seem to love the taste, they eat it right up.
