Feeding Instructions

Adult: Feed about 1 can per 6 - 8 lbs body weight per day Kitten: Feed up to 2x the amount as Adults for kittens Gestation and Lactation: Feed up to 3x the normal Adult amount.

Feed at room temperature and refrigerate unused portion. Always provide access to clean, fresh water. The amount of food your cat requires will depend on activity level, age, breed of cat, and climate.

Transition Instructions

It’s important to slowly transition your pet to a new food so their system has a chance to adapt to the change. The transition period should be at minimum, 10 days and could take upwards of 2 weeks, depending on your pet’s sensitivity to change. On day one, introduce 10% new food / 90% old food. Keep the food at this ratio for 2 or more days. Next, increase the ratio to 20% new food / 80% old food for 2 or more days. Repeat increasing in increments of 10% until you’re feeding 100% of the new food. If your pet experiences any kind of digestive upset during this time, try slowing down the process to let his/her digestive tract adjust to the new food. Some vomiting and/or diarrhea can be normal when introducing new foods as the digestive process and the naturally occurring bacteria your pet’s body requires is a complex and delicate system. If you experience any vomiting and/or diarrhea, be sure to reduce the amount of new food the next time you feed and overall, slow the whole transition period down even more.

I followed the feeding guidelines on your packaging, but my pet is too fat/thin. Why?

Feeding Guidelines are simply a place to start. You should increase or decrease the amount you feed based on your pet’s activity level and weight.

Are the ingredients used in Petcurean products “human-grade”?

All of our fresh meat and meat meal ingredients are sourced from animals passed fit for human consumption by the CFIA. The fruits and vegetables used in our recipes also come from the human food chain. We do not, however, claim that our ingredients are “human-grade”; once an individual ingredient leaves a “human-grade” processing facility and enters a “pet food” processor, the ingredient loses its “human-grade” classification.

What is an organic ingredient?

A certified organic ingredient provides a guarantee that the ingredient has met strict government standards for how food is grown, handled and processed; using organic agricultural methods. Organic agriculture focuses on farming practices that encourage soil and water conservation and regeneration, and reduces pollution. Organic farmers use natural fertilizers and pest control methods to benefit the soil, plants and animals for a healthy environment.

    No Thank You

Admittedly, my 2 cats are picky eaters and one has multiple food allergies so I’ve done a lot of taste testing with them. Although this is a “clean”, limited ingredient wet cat food, my cats won’t eat it. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it and it’s apparently a high quality pate. My cats just do not like it.

    Great product

My cats love this wet food. My adult cat usually won’t eat much wet food and sometimes when he does he throws up. I bought this and he eats it all and settles well with his tummy. I originally bought this and the dry version because my kitten has food sensitivities and always has had runny poop that smelled awful and now after eating both versions he’s almost back to normal! I’ve noticed a difference in both cat’s fur as well. They are very soft and shiny. Will buy this for now on...it’s a little pricey but it’s worth it for the quality and health of my kitties.

    It really does both!

My allergic-to-chicken Abyssinian inhales this cold meat duck product with no stomach upset, nor scratching/overgrooming herself! Her coat is smooth and shiny now. I will feed her this until forever, mixing it up with other tried and true wet food.

My cats are okay with the food but I am not okay with the severely dented cans.

    I love it, they don’t.

So I recently got this wet food and the Fit And Free. They loved the fit and free, but wouldn’t touch this one. All three just sniffed it and meowed at me. Such a waste. Wish I had just bought two Fit and Free’s. I gave it two stars, because I really do like the ingredients, my boys just wouldn’t eat it.

    He likes it!

I have a cat with IBD, so I've been searching for a high quality since source protein. He's also a picky wet eater. But this product has a great consistency, very moist and a nice layer of broth. Very pleased with this purchase.

    My 2 cats love it!

Both of my cats have food sensitivities. They love GO and don't get the "uncomfortable " after-effects of other canned cat food.

Seems high quality, well tolerated by my sensitive cat

We adopted a 10-year-old senior who I semi-successfully transitioned to raw over about an 8 month period, which totally solved his poop problems, but he just started ultimately rejecting it. I was told at a local specialty pet supply that carries only selective high quality pet foods and raw that among all the canned cat foods, this was one of the best, if not THE best, and this duck formula for sensitivities. In our case he seems to react to chicken and fish. It's the only one I've tried that he mostly will always eat, and doesn't seem to create problems with itching, vomiting or diarrhea, so he's on this exclusively at the moment, no dry food at all. Otherwise, it seems to be keeping him healthy, and since he won't do the raw anymore, this is probably the next best thing. The only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is that the batches seem to be a little inconsistent in density and smell, and he likes some better than others. Our most recent delivered case he actually really likes, but somehow I'm getting less servings out of one can - I think there is either less product in it, or it's more liquid. It's not a cheap food, so that does add to the monthly cost. … more

    Expensive but they like it

    By on Top 25 Contributor

With 11 cats and varying health needs and restrictions, everyone seems to like this without the vomiting after. Price is a bit much but at least they like and eat it all.
