The amount of food your dog needs will vary depending on breed, activity level, age and climate. Use our feeding chart as a guide, adjusting the quantity fed to achieve your dog’s ideal weight. We suggest feeding twice a day, puppies more often. Provide fresh, clean water at all times. Regular exercise will help maintain a healthy body weight. Love, attention and tummy rubs should be given freely, as often as possible. Pregnant/lactating females: increase intake by 50%.

Transition Instructions

The transition period should be at minimum, ten days and could take upwards of two weeks, depending on your pet’s sensitivity to change. On day one, introduce 10% new food and 90% old food. Keep the food at this ratio for two or more days. Next, increase the ratio to 20% new food and 80% old food for two or more days. Repeat increasing in increments of 10% until you’re feeding 100% of the new food. If your pet experiences any kind of digestive upset during this time, try slowing down the process to let his or her digestive tract adjust to the new food. Some vomiting and/or diarrhea can be normal when introducing new foods as the digestive process and the naturally occurring bacteria your pet’s body requires is a complex and delicate system. If you experience any vomiting and/or diarrhea, be sure to reduce the amount of new food the next time you feed and overall, slow the whole transition period down even more.

    Wonder Food

    By on

This food worked wonders for my older dogs. I have 5 senior dogs. All of which have their own issues that range from gas to intestinal issues. When I had to take one of my females to the vet due to vomiting and diarrhea twice I knew there was a problem. I didn't have them on a bad food brand before but as they got older their digestion changes. So I decided it was time to make a change. After having her on a bland diet for 5 days I started to incorporate this food in, now she is on this food only and she is doing great...my other dog doesn't have as much gas either. As with any food though you have your picky eaters...and I have one...but he has always been a picky guy and didn't like This food worked wonders for my older dogs. I have 5 senior dogs. I wasn’t sure what to think first time I ordered. The bag was open and it had spilt everywhere. The second order came quickly with no problems. My dogs love the food and so do I.

    Great food.

My dog loves this brand and we switch flavors with no problem. We’ve tried duck and lamb. He gets so excited when trying a new flavor. We stick to the limited ingredient ones and he has no problem switching flavors.
