The amount of food your dog needs will vary depending on breed, activity level, age and climate. Use our feeding chart as a guide, adjusting the quantity fed to achieve your dog’s ideal weight. We suggest feeding twice a day, puppies more often. Provide fresh, clean water at all times. Regular exercise will help maintain a healthy body weight. Love, attention and tummy rubs should be given freely, as often as possible. Pregnant/lactating females: increase intake by 50%.

Transition Instructions

It’s important to slowly transition your pet to a new food so their system has a chance to adapt to the change. The transition period should be at minimum, 10 days and could take upwards of 2 weeks, depending on your pet’s sensitivity to change. On day one, introduce 10% new food / 90% old food. Keep the food at this ratio for 2 or more days. Next, increase the ratio to 20% new food / 80% old food for 2 or more days. Repeat increasing in increments of 10% until you’re feeding 100% of the new food. If your pet experiences any kind of digestive upset during this time, try slowing down the process to let his/her digestive tract adjust to the new food. Some vomiting and/or diarrhea can be normal when introducing new foods as the digestive process and the naturally occurring bacteria your pet’s body requires is a complex and delicate system. If you experience any vomiting and/or diarrhea, be sure to reduce the amount of new food the next time you feed and overall, slow the whole transition period down even more.

I followed the feeding guidelines on your packaging, but my pet is too fat/thin. Why?

Feeding Guidelines are simply a place to start. You should increase or decrease the amount you feed based on your pet’s activity level and weight.

Are the ingredients used in Petcurean products “human-grade”?

All of our fresh meat and meat meal ingredients are sourced from animals passed fit for human consumption by the CFIA. The fruits and vegetables used in our recipes also come from the human food chain. We do not, however, claim that our ingredients are “human-grade”; once an individual ingredient leaves a “human-grade” processing facility and enters a “pet food” processor, the ingredient loses its “human-grade” classification.

What is an organic ingredient?

A certified organic ingredient provides a guarantee that the ingredient has met strict government standards for how food is grown, handled and processed; using organic agricultural methods. Organic agriculture focuses on farming practices that encourage soil and water conservation and regeneration, and reduces pollution. Organic farmers use natural fertilizers and pest control methods to benefit the soil, plants and animals for a healthy environment.

Where are your products made?

I have a Olde English Bulldogge who has the worst skin allergies . I had her on Go Sensitivity Lamb and for a while she looked good but she started having anal gland issues and here came the Hives again so I figured I would switch and put her on a cheaper brand food which was Rachel Rays dog food called Peak just to see if there was a difference, first month was good second month she was a train wreck . The food was good quality but my dog is a diva and requires ALOT of special care to keep her skin looking good so I sucked it up and switched her back to Go but chose the Venison this time which has a little higher fiber and I will keep her on this forever . Dog did not take to this food.

    By on

Our dog didn’t like this food and didn’t eat it very willingly. I will have to try another type of food. I was hoping this would work due to nutritional value. I had to add things to it to get him to eat it. I’ll try another road to his pickiness.

    Quality but not palatability

    By on

I am sure this food is a great food, being that I respect the company’s products. However, the kibble was pale in color - compared to Acana limited Duck and Orijen Puppy. My dog was eating it when I was blending in his old food, but now he does not eat it by itself. Disappointed. Considering trying the Go!Sensitive Duck, but have to get through this large bag that I’m having to blend with other foods in order to get my pup to eat. Too expensive to waste.

    go! venison saves the day!

Thank goodness I found this food! The venison/Venison meal food my Basset mix was eating was suddenly discontinued, and we have been to the moon and back looking for alternatives for him. After trying over 10 bags of dog food, go! venison arrived today. Not expecting much, I opened the box, ripped open the bag, and put a cup in his bowl.He anxiously smelled it and started EATING!!!!! I was thrilled! Go! has all the ingredients I was looking for. It has one protein and is gentle on the stomach, which is a necessity. It has a venison as the first ingredient which is a must, and is very difficult to find right now. Great for allergies :)

    By on

I switched to this brand after trouble with another well known brand last year. I go back and fourth between this and another flavor in effort to keep my dog interested. I love this formula and wish they had more flavors that would agree with my dog. I've not ordered this Venison since they ran out 6 or so months ago and wanted to switch back to it but notice a considerable price hike. Too bad...worked great for us but I'm not paying this price for kibble...

    LID good food

    By on

Go! Is a bit more expensive but for my dog’s easily upset tummy, go! is perfect at any price. My gsd had many stomach problems when we adopted her. Through the help of the vet, we used food only available through the vet’s office and eventually discovered that venison was the protein source for this dog. I found go! and weaned her onto it slowly and she hasn’t had any issues digestively since!

    I had higher expectations

    By on

I had really high hopes for this food. My dog suffers from many allergies and the doctor suggested I put her on “exotic” meat. While the ingredients seem really good my dog is extremely indifferent towards this food. Sometimes I have to put some oil or something that would make her want to eat, otherwise she wouldn’t even eat half of it and leave to come back later when she s really hungry.... for this price I had higher expectations and hopes... I will be switching her to vegan food and see how that goes

    More expensive than Royal Canin

    By on

Vet prescribed Royal Canin, Chewy ran out, got the Chewy equivalent which ended up being more $ than prescription food. Dog will eat anything so not sure if is worth the extra $

    Amazing Food

    By on

This food has been great for my 15 year old pointer. She has some mild food allergies and this has been a great find. She is still quite active and the high calorie count per cup has made it easier to keep weight on her. I plan to keep her on this food!
