Feeding Instructions

The amount of food your dog needs will vary depending on breed, activity level, age and climate. Feed Adult dogs twice a day and puppies more often. Provide fresh, clean water at all times. Regular exercise will help maintain a healthy body weight. Love, attention and tummy rubs should be given freely, as often as possible.

Transition Instructions

It’s important to slowly transition your pet to a new food so their system has a chance to adapt to the change. The transition period should be at minimum, 10 days and could take upwards of 2 weeks, depending on your pet’s sensitivity to change.

  • Day 1 & 2: Feed 80% of your pet’s old food with 20% of the new food
  • Day 3 & 4: Feed 60% of your pet’s old food with 40% of the new food
  • Day 5 & 6: Feed 40% of your pet’s old food with 60% of the new food
  • Day 7, 8 & 9: Feed 20% of your pet’s old food with 80% of the new food
  • Day 10 & Forever: Feed 100% new food

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the ingredients used in this product “human-grade”?

All of our fresh meat and meat meal ingredients are sourced from animals passed fit for human consumption by the CFIA. The fruits and vegetables used in our recipes also come from the human food chain. We do not, however, claim that our ingredients are “human-grade”; once an individual ingredient leaves a “human-grade” processing facility and enters a “pet food” processor, the ingredient loses its “human-grade” classification.

Where is this product made?

Go! dry pet foods are produced in Ontario, Canada. We are 100% China free for processing and ingredient sourcing. None of our meat proteins, grains, cereals, fruits and vegetables in any of our recipes are processed in China, and none of our ingredients are sourced in China.

Is your food baked or extruded?

Our goal is to maintain the nutritional integrity of the ingredients we use in our recipes and so we extrude our foods at temperatures which are lower than typical baking. The end result; a nutrient-rich, highly digestible product for pets.

Sometimes the color and shape of the kibbles can vary. Why?

At Petcurean, we formulate our recipes using real food ingredients, and like real food that Mother Nature provides, the color and texture of the ingredients going into our recipes varies. For example; Meat supply will vary between different suppliers and batches (e.g. dark meat vs. white meat). Also, diets with a higher meat content are denser and sometimes more difficult to extrude (versus cereal or grains) which leads to variance in the kibble shape. Oils, as they are applied, either outside of or inside the kibble, can affect the color and the density (size) of the kibble. Oils also play a significant role in the palatability of the food. Finally, Petcurean does not use any artificial colors, flavors or preservatives, which also contributes to variances of the color and texture.

What is the shelf life of Go! dry cat food?

Our dry foods have a shelf life of 16 months.

My 9 month old Olde English Bulldogge has always had some sort of reaction to every food we have tried. We have always had to be very selective of which foods we feed him so as to promote the most healthy hips possible, so we have always used very high end food with reputable brands. (both large and family scaled) We have always been impressed with the quality of the previous companies we have used, but none have ever really done much to firm up his stool, which has always been soft and light colored. The LID food we originally settled with left him with an “almost formed” stool, but after a few weeks we noticed him beginning to get really bad “dandruff” ... up to this point he had been growing My 9 month old Olde English Bulldogge has always had some sort of reaction to every food we have tried. The LID food we originally settled with left him with an “almost formed” stool, but after a few weeks we noticed him beginning to get really bad “dandruff” ... up to this point he had been growing amazingly! 12.5 lbs at 8wks, and 70lbs at 8mos. During this time he had been a bit itchy during mornings, and always just a lil stinky despite proper bathing practices... we finally found a link to Go! And decided to look into it. I couldn’t be more glad that we did! Our dog has not only stopped itching during the morning, but he has also stopped being stinky, has AMAZING soft, dandruff free hair, but his poop is dark and firm! I can’t believe I’m excited about a dog’s poop, but this food has been a life changer. The relief of knowing my dog is properly digesting his food is an invaluable piece of mind. While this food is quite pricey, it is proving to be worth every cent! … more

  • Healthy dog

My shih tzu switched to this food about 4 months ago and is the healthiest he's ever been. He's always had a sensitive stomach from frequent loose stools to vomiting and no issues on this food. He also has always needed allergy medicine almost year round and he rarely needs it anymore! He is no longer itchy and his hair has less red staining also. He seems to be happier and have more energy. He only eats 1/4 cup a day and is the perfect weight and he also has fewer ear infections.

  • Sensitive German

I bought this food after trying another brand. My German Shepherd had always had a very sensitive system ranging from poor skin and cost quality to flat out vomitting majority of his food each meal. He had great success with Orijens, however given the price and chewy discontinued carrying it we had to change. He has had improved coat and skin as well as his digestive system has tolerated Go! Very well. Glad we have found his brand again! Thanks Chewy!

  • Go! is great

We love this food. Switch protiens every few bags, so far always a hit for our golden. We can tell a difference - her coat is shinier and she is less itchy than with other foods.

  • Saved my sanity

Our labradoodle puppy suddenly had GI issues with his chicken and rice kibble (I'm talking daily puddles in the yard) and this food was recommended to us by a local pet store. He's been on this kibble for about a month now and his stools are firm and he loves mealtime again! Even when we were transitioning him to this food, he would eat around his old kibble because he loved this one so much. Thank you Petcurean!

  • Best food ever.

We have been using this food for our working line German shepherd for several years and love it. She has lots of energy, a beautiful shinny coat, and loves the food. It has no additives or preservatives or grain. We had to try another food when we couldn't get this and she immediately had a hot spot. We quickly found a source and got Go again. All the Go line of dog food is the same high quality.

My German Shepherd has a wheat allergy, so I looked around for various brands Which didn’t contain any wheat or wheat products. We tried this and one other but she really seem to like GO! Her skin and coat looks amazing now. It’s a great dog food and it’s made in Canada and we all know Drake is from Canada so its LIT.

  • My frenchbulldog loves this food!

    By on

Im the proud owner of a very picky french bulldog, and he loves this food. It seems to be lighter and crisper than over kibbles weve tried. And after a taste taste of 8 different brands of kibble, this one was the winner. Im very luck to find this brand!

So far my dogs like and eat it. I love how easy it is to reseal this dog food. I can only give 4 star because My dogs have only been on it for about 3 weeks so I don't know long term.

  • Great Dog Food!

    By on

I have 3 dogs of 3 different age groups (puppy, adult and senior). Two of my dogs have allergies. One is allergic to chicken, the other is allergic to grain, eggs, rice and sweet potatoes. I have been searching far and wide for a limited ingredient food, with no grains, eggs, rice, sweet potatoes or chicken that is for all life stages. This is literally one of two products out there. So glad I found it! The dogs love it and no one is itchy.
