Feeding Instructions

The amount of food your dog needs will vary depending on breed, activity level, age and climate. Feed adult dogs twice a day and puppies more often. Provide fresh, clean water at all times. Regular exercise will help maintain a healthy body weight. Love, attention and tummy rubs should be given freely, as often as possible.

Transition Instructions

It’s important to slowly transition your pet to a new food so their system has a chance to adapt to the change. The transition period should be at minimum, 10 days and could take upwards of 2 weeks, depending on your pet’s sensitivity to change.

  • Day 1 & 2: Feed 80% of your pet’s old food with 20% of the new food
  • Day 3 & 4: Feed 60% of your pet’s old food with 40% of the new food
  • Day 5 & 6: Feed 40% of your pet’s old food with 60% of the new food
  • Day 7, 8 & 9: Feed 20% of your pet’s old food with 80% of the new food
  • Day 10 & Forever: Feed 100% new food

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the ingredients used in this product “human-grade”?

All of our fresh meat and meat meal ingredients are sourced from animals passed fit for human consumption by the CFIA. The fruits and vegetables used in our recipes also come from the human food chain. We do not, however, claim that our ingredients are “human-grade”; once an individual ingredient leaves a “human-grade” processing facility and enters a “pet food” processor, the ingredient loses its “human-grade” classification.

Where is this product made?

Go! dry pet foods are produced in Ontario, Canada. We are 100% China free for processing and ingredient sourcing. None of our meat proteins, grains, cereals, fruits and vegetables in any of our recipes are processed in China, and none of our ingredients are sourced in China.

Is your food baked or extruded?

Our goal is to maintain the nutritional integrity of the ingredients we use in our recipes and so we extrude our foods at temperatures which are lower than typical baking. The end result; a nutrient-rich, highly digestible product for pets.

Sometimes the color and shape of the kibbles can vary. Why?

At Petcurean, we formulate our recipes using real food ingredients, and like real food that Mother Nature provides, the color and texture of the ingredients going into our recipes varies. For example; Meat supply will vary between different suppliers and batches (e.g. dark meat vs. white meat). Also, diets with a higher meat content are denser and sometimes more difficult to extrude (versus cereal or grains) which leads to variance in the kibble shape. Oils, as they are applied, either outside of or inside the kibble, can affect the color and the density (size) of the kibble. Oils also play a significant role in the palatability of the food. Finally, Petcurean does not use any artificial colors, flavors or preservatives, which also contributes to variances of the color and texture.

What is the shelf life of Go! dry cat food?

Our dry foods have a shelf life of 16 months.

  • Best food ever.

We have been using this food for our working line German shepherd for several years and love it. She has lots of energy, a beautiful shinny coat, and loves the food. It has no additives or preservatives or grain. We had to try another food when we couldn't get this and she immediately had a hot spot. We quickly found a source and got Go again. All the Go line of dog food is the same high quality.

decided to transition my 10 month old pittys to this. same protein and fat values as their large breed puppy food. They eat it enthusiastically and their stools are good. their hair coats are soft and shiny. I also give them sardines at night and kefir or yogurt on the morning. very happy with purchase.

  • It's a GO! ;)

My dog is a very picky eater. He generally doesn't care for fish, but he has really taken to this formula. I mix equal parts of this kibble with a weight management formula and it works great!

  • Great Dog Food!

    By on

I have 3 dogs of 3 different age groups (puppy, adult and senior). Two of my dogs have allergies. One is allergic to chicken, the other is allergic to grain, eggs, rice and sweet potatoes. I have been searching far and wide for a limited ingredient food, with no grains, eggs, rice, sweet potatoes or chicken that is for all life stages. This is literally one of two products out there. So glad I found it! The dogs love it and no one is itchy.

Bertha will eat it but not her favorite. She's a English Bulldog. Hard for her to chew. Going to try a Bulldog dog food.

  • Go dog food

The go salmon worked out great with my dogs sensitive skin. Seanna was so helpful. I appreciate her calling me. I have to order it on line because none of the stores carry it. I complained to my store they shoul stock this dog food but they don't. And my dog loves the go dog food. So I order at chewy and they are great.

  • Lifesaver!

One of my dogs (Great Pyr/Bloodhound mix) has had severe itching since I adopted her, a year ago. No matter the elimination diet I tried, nothing worked. I finally had her tested for allergens and wow! She's got sensitivities to everything I was feeding her! The amount of foods on her "no" list is daunting. And every single dog food product out there has at least two items from that list. I called Chewy.com to help me find a food my poor dog could eat. 2 hours later (yes, Chewy has AWESOME cust. serv. reps!!!!!) they found this food.....go! Sensitivity + Shine LID Salmon. It doesn't have ANY of the ingredients on the list! Both my dogs love it. It is a bit strong-smelling, but I expect that with One of my dogs (Great Pyr/Bloodhound mix) has had severe itching since I adopted her, a year ago. The size is slightly smaller than a dime, which is fine for both my dogs...the other one is a German Shepherd. I add warm water, let it sit for about 10 minutes and they gobble it right up. (You should always add water to dry kibble - better for digestion and ensures they get a little more hydration.) I've tried the Venison also and they love that one, too. I'm hoping Chewy gets their Turkey recipe real soon! If it weren't for this food, I would have to home cook for them and that is just too expensive right now. So, so happy for this food, and this company - Petcurean. … more

  • Fantastic product

I have been searching for a couple of years, for a premium food with no grain, limited ingredients but high in quality protein and no artificial ingredients. My Schnoodle has food allergies and was constantly chewing her back feet and suffering from ear infections. Chewy has been so helpful through this process and this food was the answer. She has stopped the chewing and is far more comfortable, and I know she is getting the very best nutrition. I would recommend this line to anyone looking for the best food for their pet with sensitivities
