Feeding Instructions

The amount of food your dog needs will vary depending on breed, activity level, age and climate. Feed Adult dogs twice a day and puppies more often. Provide fresh, clean water at all times. Regular exercise will help maintain a healthy body weight. Love, attention and tummy rubs should be given freely, as often as possible.

Transition Instructions

It’s important to slowly transition your pet to a new food so their system has a chance to adapt to the change. The transition period should be at minimum, 10 days and could take upwards of 2 weeks, depending on your pet’s sensitivity to change.

  • Day 1 & 2: Feed 80% of your pet’s old food with 20% of the new food
  • Day 3 & 4: Feed 60% of your pet’s old food with 40% of the new food
  • Day 5 & 6: Feed 40% of your pet’s old food with 60% of the new food
  • Day 7, 8 & 9: Feed 20% of your pet’s old food with 80% of the new food
  • Day 10 & Forever: Feed 100% new food
FAQ

Are the ingredients used in this product “human-grade”?

All of our fresh meat and meat meal ingredients are sourced from animals passed fit for human consumption by the CFIA. The fruits and vegetables used in our recipes also come from the human food chain. We do not, however, claim that our ingredients are “human-grade”; once an individual ingredient leaves a “human-grade” processing facility and enters a “pet food” processor, the ingredient loses its “human-grade” classification.

Where is this product made?

Go! dry pet foods are produced in Ontario, Canada. We are 100% China free for processing and ingredient sourcing. None of our meat proteins, grains, cereals, fruits and vegetables in any of our recipes are processed in China, and none of our ingredients are sourced in China.

Is your food baked or extruded?

Our goal is to maintain the nutritional integrity of the ingredients we use in our recipes and so we extrude our foods at temperatures which are lower than typical baking. The end result; a nutrient-rich, highly digestible product for pets.

Sometimes the color and shape of the kibbles can vary. Why?

At Petcurean, we formulate our recipes using real food ingredients, and like real food that Mother Nature provides, the color and texture of the ingredients going into our recipes varies. For example; Meat supply will vary between different suppliers and batches (e.g. dark meat vs. white meat). Also, diets with a higher meat content are denser and sometimes more difficult to extrude (versus cereal or grains) which leads to variance in the kibble shape. Oils, as they are applied, either outside of or inside the kibble, can affect the color and the density (size) of the kibble. Oils also play a significant role in the palatability of the food. Finally, Petcurean does not use any artificial colors, flavors or preservatives, which also contributes to variances of the color and texture.

What is the shelf life of Go! dry cat food?

Our dry foods have a shelf life of 16 months.

  • Easy transition

    By on

I usually like to transition slowly but due to recent Sensitivity Testing results, I was happy to find a kibble with no ingredients my Standard Poodle is sensitive to. Better yet, he likes it and it is agreeing with him well! Thank you Chewy for always being there and having such a good selection of products, easy to read Nutrition labels, and customer comments! It sure takes the guesswork out!

  • Loves His New Food.....

My dog was not eating due to a severe digestive/intestine issue and fat intolerance. He absolutely would not eat food that was prescribed for him - but he LOVES this Go food. Thank goodness for Go...!

  • Allergies no more!

    By on

My beagle Louie has suffered with food allergies, yeast infections, paw chewing, and a dull, shedding coat. Switched to Go! Sensitivity and Shine by Petcurean and all his issues have gone away! I’m super impressed with this kibble and will be sticking with it! I’ve just given up with other dog foods previous to this one as my poor beagle would just have allergy and yeast flare ups all the time. This was pretty much my last hope before I decided to make a vet visit to figure out if there was anything they could do to help BUT in just my luck, this food has helped eliminate all those issues! So now I’ve saved a trip and the cost of a vet visit because I gave this kibble a go. • Good alternative for allergies

    By on

My 7 year old Dob has had severe allergies since he was a pup. I have had to try various foods that relate to his allergy testing. So far, he is starting to shape up, and his allergies are less. His coat is starting to look good again and his digestive system returning to normal.

  • Good for my girls with sensitive skin

    By on

My girls love the taste of this kibble and it is good for them and for their skin. I have also used the salmon variety too, and it is equally good for them.

  • Don't Like new Formula

    By on

This was one of the few foods my dog with an allergy to peas could eat. Unfortunately, it looks like all the new formulas now have peas. Otherwise, was a good food and my dogs liked it.

  • Great for the picky eaters

    By on

I have two miniature schnauzers who have sensitive stomach issues. Schnauzers need lower fat foods. This is the only one the seems to work. The white on the older one's mouth is actually white! They both love this food. My only complaint is that is is pricey!
