  • Day 10 & Forever: Feed 100% new food
FAQ

Are the ingredients used in this product “human-grade”?

All of our fresh meat and meat meal ingredients are sourced from animals passed fit for human consumption by the CFIA. The fruits and vegetables used in our recipes also come from the human food chain. We do not, however, claim that our ingredients are “human-grade”; once an individual ingredient leaves a “human-grade” processing facility and enters a “pet food” processor, the ingredient loses its “human-grade” classification.

Where is this product made?

Go! dry pet foods are produced in Ontario, Canada. We are 100% China free for processing and ingredient sourcing. None of our meat proteins, grains, cereals, fruits and vegetables in any of our recipes are processed in China, and none of our ingredients are sourced in China.

Is your food baked or extruded?

Our goal is to maintain the nutritional integrity of the ingredients we use in our recipes and so we extrude our foods at temperatures which are lower than typical baking. The end result; a nutrient-rich, highly digestible product for pets.

Sometimes the color and shape of the kibbles can vary. Why?

At Petcurean, we formulate our recipes using real food ingredients, and like real food that Mother Nature provides, the color and texture of the ingredients going into our recipes varies. For example; Meat supply will vary between different suppliers and batches (e.g. dark meat vs. white meat). Also, diets with a higher meat content are denser and sometimes more difficult to extrude (versus cereal or grains) which leads to variance in the kibble shape. Oils, as they are applied, either outside of or inside the kibble, can affect the color and the density (size) of the kibble. Oils also play a significant role in the palatability of the food. Finally, Petcurean does not use any artificial colors, flavors or preservatives, which also contributes to variances of the color and texture.

What is the shelf life of Go! dry cat food?

Our dry foods have a shelf life of 16 months.

Helped our kittens and probably saved us thousands in vet visits

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

Our kittens had persistent diarrhea. We could not fix it. At first we thought it was the dry chicken flavored food they first came in on. We switched them to a really high quality dry chicken food. (Didn't help.) We put them on probiotics. (Helped sporadically.) We medicated them. (Made it worse.) I read someone's review about their own kittens that sounded almost exactly like our own experience, only the poor soul spent thousands on tests and vet visits. Eager to keep my vet out of this (and thousands in my bank) I thought, even though they're really wee... maybe... just maybe they have a chicken intolerance. Well, we bought it, switched them slowly, kept them on the probiotic and within 4 days Our kittens had persistent diarrhea. We could not fix it. But at least they no longer have gas and they aren't freaking out because they don't feel good because of their tummy troubles. So a big thumbs up for GO! Sensitivity + Shine. … more

    Very pleased!

I have a cat with IBD, so looking for a high quality since source of protein. This checked all the boxes and he enjoys it. I also purchased their wet duck in a can, and it has a great consistency, and layer of broth.

Contains chicken eggs. Not safe for cats with chicken allergies.

    By on

This product contains chicken eggs which isn't made clear on the label. Since the whole reason I bought this food is to avoid chicken or beef for my IBD cat I won't be buying it again.

MY CAT LOVES IT BUT DIDN'T SOLVE THE VOMITING

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

Luckily I only got the small size bag because once he was finishing up on it I decided to switch over to a different brand. My Leo has several health issues so finding the right dry kibble wasn't a easy task. There were many trial & error. The common problem with all of them is that he would always vomit after eating it. So I know it wasn't a good match. He loved eating it but not he's tummy so I finally switched over to HALO Chicken/Chicken Liver for Senior Cat Food. Not only did the vomiting stop but he absolutely loves it too. This is a great brand and the ingredients are awesome just wasn't for Leo!

    Not sure, yet

    By on

Good ingredients and my cats will eat it, but I don't think they are crazy about it. I'm going to mix it with a different kibble and see what happens.

    Great cat food!

    By on

My 16-year-old cat has had some digestive and food sensitivity problems over the last year and could not keep down any of the dry food brands he has eaten over his life. All 3 of my cats love dry food, but I have been feeding them only wet food to keep Cisco from getting sick. I discovered go! online and decided to give it a try. The cats all love it and Cisco is able to eat and digest it just fine. I highly recommend go! for anyone who wants to provide a nutritional, grain-free dry food for their cats. My cats thank you too!

    My 3 Won't Eat This

    By on

The search for a grain-free dry food that my cats will eat continues. Not one recognized this as edible. I was so hopeful since this got really good reviews from others. Just so people know, the size of this kibble is very small...way smaller than a pea, about the size of a round lentil, maybe. That may be good for some, bad for others. I wish there were pictures of the kibble on the site (there are for some foods). As soon as I saw the texture, I knew my cats wouldn't eat it. I tried to mix it with their regular dry food and they ate around it. How do they do that?! I ended up with a bowl with the go! all left on the bottom and the Royal Canin (their current food) gone.

    Great product but...

    By on

I so wanted my cats to love this food. I read all of the reviews and the ingredients and though I could not go wrong. Well unfortunately I was wrong. My cats would not even think about touching this food. So disappointed. I think it would be great product if my cats would eat it
