The amount of food your dog needs will vary depending on breed, activity level, age and climate. Use our feeding chart as a guide, adjusting the quantity fed to achieve your dog’s ideal weight. We suggest feeding twice a day, puppies more often. Provide fresh, clean water at all times. Regular exercise will help maintain a healthy body weight. Love, attention and tummy rubs should be given freely, as often as possible. Pregnant/lactating females: increase intake by 50%.

Transition Instructions

It’s important to slowly transition your pet to a new food so their system has a chance to adapt to the change. The transition period should be at minimum, 10 days and could take upwards of 2 weeks, depending on your pet’s sensitivity to change. On day one, introduce 10% new food / 90% old food. Keep the food at this ratio for 2 or more days. Next, increase the ratio to 20% new food / 80% old food for 2 or more days. Repeat increasing in increments of 10% until you’re feeding 100% of the new food. If your pet experiences any kind of digestive upset during this time, try slowing down the process to let his/her digestive tract adjust to the new food. Some vomiting and/or diarrhea can be normal when introducing new foods as the digestive process and the naturally occurring bacteria your pet’s body requires is a complex and delicate system. If you experience any vomiting and/or diarrhea, be sure to reduce the amount of new food the next time you feed and overall, slow the whole transition period down even more.

I followed the feeding guidelines on your packaging, but my pet is too fat/thin. Why?

Feeding Guidelines are simply a place to start. You should increase or decrease the amount you feed based on your pet’s activity level and weight.

Are the ingredients used in Petcurean products “human-grade”?

All of our fresh meat and meat meal ingredients are sourced from animals passed fit for human consumption by the CFIA. The fruits and vegetables used in our recipes also come from the human food chain. We do not, however, claim that our ingredients are “human-grade”; once an individual ingredient leaves a “human-grade” processing facility and enters a “pet food” processor, the ingredient loses its “human-grade” classification.

What is an organic ingredient?

A certified organic ingredient provides a guarantee that the ingredient has met strict government standards for how food is grown, handled and processed; using organic agricultural methods. Organic agriculture focuses on farming practices that encourage soil and water conservation and regeneration, and reduces pollution. Organic farmers use natural fertilizers and pest control methods to benefit the soil, plants and animals for a healthy environment.

  • Such soft fur!

    By on

My dog’s poops are GREAT on this food, and let me tell you—the difference in his fur is noticeable (like crazy!) A few days after I started mixing this new food into his old, I noticed his fur was softer and I thought, “No way! It can’t be the food!” but that is literally the only thing that changed. I’ve never felt such soft fur on my pup in his life, even after conditioning haha! I dunno how long he’ll be interested in this food, but as of right now I’d highly recommend it.

  • Wonderful Food!

    By on

Corky was having problems with itching and licking his paws with some of the foods I tried to switch him to; he can't have any food with chicken in it. Go! Sensitivity + Shine Limited Ingredient Diet Turkey is wonderful food!! Not only does Corky love it, but it gives him a shiny coat, small firm stool that doesn't knock you over with a strong odor, and there isn't anything in it that causes Corky to itch and lick his paws. I highly recommend this food. Thank you Chewy for carrying Go! Sensitivity + Shine Limited Ingredient dog food and for your terrific service!!! :-)

  • No more itchy skin...

    By on

My 2 yo Aussie cattle dog has an itchy skin problem that varies greatly with what he eats. Having read that many times this problem is food related I went on my search one bag of dried food at a time using dog food adviser as a reference. I hit upon this - no more itching - but then Chewy stopped carrying it. Now that they are carrying it again I'm back as a customer. May not work for you but it did for Buddy, my Australian cattle dog.

  • I like it better than my dogs

    By on

Without a topper my picky eaters won't touch it. I have not seen any bad reactions to the food and the stool is small and firm. The bag has a neat Velcro closure. I just wish my dogs loved the smell and would eat it up without the bribery.

  • Newest addition to the rotation

    By on Top 250 Contributor

Both of my Dobes are sensitive to chicken, but not turkey. Go! brand is high in protein and fat, and has enough calories to fuel my 75 lb. dogs using about 4 cups a day. Ingredient list is impressive. It was nice to find a quality food that does not include chicken.

  • Great food for my dogs!

    By on

My beagle needed to lose a little weight (duh.. beagle :) ) so I asked around to see which foods worked best for weight loss/maintenance. Go! was recommended without hesitation, so we tried it. Not only do our dogs love it, my beagle is, in fact, losing weight! Win-win!

  • Great Product and Easy Ordering

    By on

This is the only food my Aussie has been able to eat without issue. It has taken him through puppy-hood to the 1 year mark and continuing. I have always tried to support local "brick and mortar" stores but after disappointment in not being able to get this food when needed has led me to online ordering with Chewy. It couldn't be easier and the packaging was excellent.
