The amount of food your dog needs will vary depending on breed, activity level, age and climate. Use our feeding chart as a guide, adjusting the quantity fed to achieve your dog’s ideal weight.
We suggest feeding twice a day, puppies more often. Provide fresh, clean water at all times. Regular exercise will help maintain a healthy body weight. Love, attention and tummy rubs should be given freely, as often as possible.
It’s important to slowly transition your pet to a new food so their system has a chance to adapt to the change. The transition period should be at minimum, 10 days and could take upwards of 2 weeks, depending on your pet’s sensitivity to change. On day one, introduce 10% new food / 90% old food. Keep the food at this ratio for 2 or more days. Next, increase the ratio to 20% new food / 80% old food for 2 or more days. Repeat increasing in increments of 10% until you’re feeding 100% of the new food. If your pet experiences any kind of digestive upset during this time, try slowing down the process to let his/her digestive tract adjust to the new food. Some vomiting and/or diarrhea can be normal when introducing new foods as the digestive process and the naturally occurring bacteria your pet’s body requires is a complex and delicate system. If you experience any vomiting and/or diarrhea, be sure to reduce the amount of new food the next time you feed and overall, slow the whole transition period down even more.

I followed the feeding guidelines on your packaging, but my pet is too fat/thin. Why?
Feeding Guidelines are simply a place to start. You should increase or decrease the amount you feed based on your pet’s activity level and weight.
Are the ingredients used in Petcurean products “human-grade”?
All of our fresh meat and meat meal ingredients are sourced from animals passed fit for human consumption by the CFIA. The fruits and vegetables used in our recipes also come from the human food chain. We do not, however, claim that our ingredients are “human-grade”; once an individual ingredient leaves a “human-grade” processing facility and enters a “pet food” processor, the ingredient loses its “human-grade” classification.
What is an organic ingredient?
A certified organic ingredient provides a guarantee that the ingredient has met strict government standards for how food is grown, handled and processed; using organic agricultural methods. Organic agriculture focuses on farming practices that encourage soil and water conservation and regeneration, and reduces pollution. Organic farmers use natural fertilizers and pest control methods to benefit the soil, plants and animals for a healthy environment.
Where are your products made?
Petcurean dry pet foods are produced in Ontario, Canada. Our canned products are primarily produced in Ontario, Canada and secondarily at a plant in New Jersey, USA. Our SPIKE Jerky Treats are manufactured in Gainsville, Georgia and our SPIKE Treat Bars are made in Brampton, Ontario. All of the meat proteins, grains, cereals, fruits and vegetables in our GO! NEW HIGH PROTEIN TRY
By BETTYBET on Mar 15, 2021
Pup Betty will be 1 yr. old in May, i noticed her coat was shedding alot for a short haired pup, so thought i'd try a different dry kibble for her. We are still introducing this to her diet with mix of old but her coat seems to be recovering from falling out so much and i think it might have to do with the switch. She seems to like it alot, i'm glad on first try it works since i bought the large bag of it. It's made in Canada, pretty sure they have very strict regulation in that country for pesticides.

Healthy life
By Skeeters on Oct 12, 2020
My dog is very happy with the food. She loves to eat now. Before you could tell she wasn’t that interested in her meals and now she is reminding it time to eat. She had more energy and her coat is very shiny

High quality food but not for picky eaters
By Chris on Jul 8, 2020
I did a lot of research into the ingredients and nutritional content of various dry dog foods before purchasing this one. While this food is very high quality, my dog won't touch it. We've been trying to transition him onto this food for two weeks and he turns his nose up at it. We've slowly been increasing the ratio of new to old kibble and were at 3/4 new, 1/4 old when he started to refuse to eat it at all and went 36 hours without touching it (very unusual for him). Today I gave up and fed him a bowl of 100% of the previous brand we were using and he wolfed it down. Unfortunately, this one didn't work out for us and I'll be passing the rest of the bag onto a friend.

They Love It!
By MegC on Jul 31, 2020
My girls just devour this food! Even the picky one. I suppose it's the fact that it has more meat than other kibbles... It's also one of the best quality dry dog food brands I could find; so I'm happy about that! I'll add it to their rotation, but probably the adult version.

Bag was infested with moths
By Michelle on Aug 5, 2020
Moths have been showing up around my house for days and today I found the source, the expensive bag of dog food I bought. I am very disappointed and will be requesting for a replacement.

Good food but not for my dog.
By Help on Nov 27, 2019
I think this food is good however, after buying a bag in store before getting this one delivered I found out my dog was allergic. I don’t recommend for a dog with skin issues. My puppy has also had stomach issues with this food (which has never happened before) and the vet said it is most likely because there is a mixture of proteins. I wish it worked out for my dog but sadly it didn’t. Chewy’s AMAZING customer service gave me a refund and told me to donate the food! I’m very happy with that!

She luv's this food!!!
By APBTLover on Nov 7, 2019
I just switched my 10 month old APBT puppy from TOTW gain free Bison & Venison formula d/t the class action lawsuit I've been hearing so much about with lead, pesticides and other contaminants allegedly in their dog foods. I didn't want to take any chances with my pooch so I decided to switch to this dog food formula and she luv's it! I feel better knowing that Canada has stricter regulations for it's livestock and don't use hormones, pesticides or other harmful things. She gets excited each feeding time and gobbles it all up in a matter of seconds! I also like the larger kibble size also which makes chewing easier for her. I will likely switch her to the Go! Solutions Carnivore Lamb & Wild Boar or this recipe for Adult dogs. So far so good folks!!! … more

I AM SURE THESE ARE GREAT BUT
By hazelhazel on Nov 20, 2019
I always research to make sure the kibbles are good quality kibbles before I buy. Wish I could provide homemade food for my puppy, but I just cant. I barely cook for myself. Anyways.. back to the review. These are good quality kibbles.... but just not for my puppy. Not sure what turns her away. Wasn't cheap so I can't throw away. I mix these with the kibbles she likes and also sprinkle more snacks on top so we can finish this bag...............
