The amount of food your dog needs will vary depending on breed, activity level, age and climate. Use our feeding chart as a guide, adjusting the quantity fed to achieve your dog’s ideal weight.

We suggest feeding twice a day, puppies more often. Provide fresh, clean water at all times. Regular exercise will help maintain a healthy body weight. Love, attention and tummy rubs should be given freely, as often as possible.

Transition Instructions

It’s important to slowly transition your pet to a new food so their system has a chance to adapt to the change. The transition period should be at minimum, 10 days and could take upwards of 2 weeks, depending on your pet’s sensitivity to change. On day one, introduce 10% new food / 90% old food. Keep the food at this ratio for 2 or more days. Next, increase the ratio to 20% new food / 80% old food for 2 or more days. Repeat increasing in increments of 10% until you’re feeding 100% of the new food. If your pet experiences any kind of digestive upset during this time, try slowing down the process to let his/her digestive tract adjust to the new food. Some vomiting and/or diarrhea can be normal when introducing new foods as the digestive process and the naturally occurring bacteria your pet’s body requires is a complex and delicate system. If you experience any vomiting and/or diarrhea, be sure to reduce the amount of new food the next time you feed and overall, slow the whole transition period down even more.

I followed the feeding guidelines on your packaging, but my pet is too fat/thin. Why?

Feeding Guidelines are simply a place to start. You should increase or decrease the amount you feed based on your pet’s activity level and weight.

Are the ingredients used in Petcurean products “human-grade”?

All of our fresh meat and meat meal ingredients are sourced from animals passed fit for human consumption by the CFIA. The fruits and vegetables used in our recipes also come from the human food chain. We do not, however, claim that our ingredients are “human-grade”; once an individual ingredient leaves a “human-grade” processing facility and enters a “pet food” processor, the ingredient loses its “human-grade” classification.

What is an organic ingredient?

A certified organic ingredient provides a guarantee that the ingredient has met strict government standards for how food is grown, handled and processed; using organic agricultural methods. Organic agriculture focuses on farming practices that encourage soil and water conservation and regeneration, and reduces pollution. Organic farmers use natural fertilizers and pest control methods to benefit the soil, plants and animals for a healthy environment.

Where are your products made?

Petcurean dry pet foods are produced in Ontario, Canada. Our canned products are primarily produced in Ontario, Canada and secondarily at a plant in New Jersey, USA. Our SPIKE Jerky Treats are manufactured in Gainsville, Georgia and our SPIKE Treat Bars are made in Brampton, Ontario. We are 100% China free for processing and ingredient sourcing. My puppy won’t eat it (maybe she’s trying to tell me something)

    By on

Maybe it is a blessing that my 6 month old Pomeranian puppy doesn’t like this food. Although it has what appears to be a high meat protein source (which is why I thought I’d try it), it also contains potatoes, legumes and peas in it which I will, in the future, avoid due to a possible connection to the cause of DCM. I will go back to feeding her Nature’s Logic which does not contain those now controversial ingredients.

    This is for puppies but...

    By on

I had a small bag of this set aside for my Labrador puppy but my previously trustworthy German Shepherd decided to break his four year nondestructive streak for said bag, so it must be pretty tasty. Attached are pictures of a dog that is unashamed of his crimes.

My puppy LOVES his new food

    By on

You never know when you bring a new puppy home if they are going to like the food you picked for them. I loved that this one didn't contain any of the bad stuff and to my delight my puppy LOVES it! This one is a home run and didn't upset his delicate little tummy.

    Puppy LOVES this

    By on

I was recommended this kibble from a breeder once she found out I was feeding Blue Buffalo. She said this food is 10000 times better for my puppy. My baby loves this food!

6 Months Later... Still The Way To GO!

    By on

Our Boston Terrier has been on GO! Puppy for over 6 months and he loves it. Shinny coat, clear eyes, firm stools. We have had great result and will continue to use until Scully moves to adult formula in a few months. If you are looking for a high protein, grain free puppy food... look no further.

My Miniature Schnauzer puppy loved it

    By on

I have a 9-year old miniature schnauzer who's been on this recipe for 4 years and he loves it. First i gave him the adult recipe and last year I switched him to senior recipe, so when I adopted my other miniature schnauzer in March of this year as a puppy I started him on this puppy recipe and he wolfs it down. He's now 9-months old and the vet recommended that I switch him to an adult recipe and I will be staying with Petcurean Go!.

My 3 month hold Border Collie Won't Eat it.

    By on

We tried transitioning him from GO from Purina Pro Plan but he won't eat it no matter how hard I tried. We finally were able to transition him to Earthborn Holistic Puppy Vantage. I keep my fingers crossed that he will stick to Earthborn Holistic. I really don't want him to go on Purina Pro Plan.

    Great Food!

    By on

We switched to this dog food shortly after EVO stopped being produced. It was great because it produced small poops and we have a very big dog. No runny poops when doing the transition either. Definitely would recommend.

    Puppy doesnt eat it

    By on

My four month old doesnt eat the food when I mix this with his old food. We had a hard time transitioning, for about two weeks. I still try to mix this in since I like go fit, and it looks healthier than his old Royal Canin food. But, he wouldnt touch it if i mix Go-fit in his food bowl until I replace it with two cups of his old favorite, Royal Canin. I still think Go-fit is a great choice but unfortunately my puppy, golden retriever doesnt like it. Now I got a 25 lbs, does anybody need it? :(

Go - away! Too expensive and puppy won't eat it.

    By on

Should have started with a small bag I guess. I am not sure why this food is twice as much as others. Bought cause wife told me to. At first I saw a discount and price was 39 but when actually purchased, was $76. Not very happy with this one.
