The amount of food your dog needs will vary depending on breed, activity level, age and climate. Use our feeding chart as a guide, adjusting the quantity fed to achieve your dog’s ideal weight.
We suggest feeding twice a day, puppies more often. Provide fresh, clean water at all times. Regular exercise will help maintain a healthy body weight. Love, attention and tummy rubs should be given freely, as often as possible.
Pregnant/lactating females: increase intake by 50%.
It’s important to slowly transition your pet to a new food so their system has a chance to adapt to the change. The transition period should be at minimum, 10 days and could take upwards of 2 weeks, depending on your pet’s sensitivity to change.
- Day 1 & 2: Feed 80% of your pet’s old food with 20% of the new food
- Day 3 & 4: Feed 60% of your pet’s old food with 40% of the new food
- Day 5 & 6: Feed 40% of your pet’s old food with 60% of the new food
- Day 7, 8 & 9: Feed 20% of your pet’s old food with 80% of the new food
- Day 10 & Forever: Feed 100% new food

I followed the feeding guidelines on your packaging, but my pet is too fat/thin. Why?
Feeding Guidelines are simply a place to start. You should increase or decrease the amount you feed based on your pet’s activity level and weight.
Are the ingredients used in Petcurean products “human-grade”?
All of our fresh meat and meat meal ingredients are sourced from animals passed fit for human consumption by the CFIA. The fruits and vegetables used in our recipes also come from the human food chain. We do not, however, claim that our ingredients are “human-grade”; once an individual ingredient leaves a “human-grade” processing facility and enters a “pet food” processor, the ingredient loses its “human-grade” classification.
What is an organic ingredient?
A certified organic ingredient provides a guarantee that the ingredient has met strict government standards for how food is grown, handled and processed; using organic agricultural methods. Organic agriculture focuses on farming practices that encourage soil and water conservation and regeneration, and reduces pollution. Organic farmers use natural fertilizers and pest control methods to benefit the soil, plants and animals for a healthy environment.
Where are your products made?
Petcurean dry pet foods are produced in Ontario, Canada. Our canned products are primarily produced in Ontario, Canada and secondarily at a plant in New Jersey, USA. Our SPIKE Jerky Treats are manufactured in Gainsville, Georgia and our SPIKE Treat Bars are made in Brampton, Ontario. All of the meat proteins, grains, cereals, fruits and vegetables in our GO! SOLUTIONS™, NOW FRESH™ and GATHER™ products are sourced from North America (as close to the production facility as possible).

Great for our dogs
By Tess on May 4, 2020
Our German Shorthair Pointer mix had really terrible gas on every other food we tried. We decided to try this since I was looking for something that is not grain free and is suitable for dogs with sensitivities. I’d read that foods for dogs with sensitive systems can reduce gas. Not only has this food completely stopped the gas, but her skin and coat look great too. She absolutely loves the food! We’ve also put our Goldendoodle on it and she is doing great and loves it, too. We are on our third bag now.

Buyer beware!! Chewy sells expired dog food
By Gail on Feb 7, 2020
I love this dog food and while this company may have great prices, every time I order dog food from them it is either expired or is about to expire. So be sure to check the freshness date on the back of your bag. Buyer beware!

Great high quality food
By Missi on Nov 24, 2019
We switched our dogs from Zignature Kangaroo to GO dry food and wow, the dogs really love the GO. The food is great quality and the dogs took to it very fast. Love the auto ship feature and the prices on Chewy are reasonable.

great whole grain option
By anon on Sep 7, 2019
With most dog food companies only offering grain-free food options, I searched high and low for a safe and high quality whole grain dry food (as my dog hates wet and dehydrated formulas). My dog likes this formula and the matching lamb flavour so I switch back and forth. I also recommend Nutro Ultra is you want more whole grain options.

Dogs love their new food
By Lexisfood on Mar 22, 2019
I love Petcurean food but I was feeding their grain free food. After hearing about possible issues with Golden Retrievers on Grain Free food. I decided to switch to a food with grains. I called Petcurean and they recommended their go product. I ordered it from Chewy and my dogs love it and I am more comfortable not feeding grain free.

Go! Daily Defence Chicken Recipe Dery Dog Food for skin and coat
By Sally on Mar 15, 2019
Well, I can not honestly give a really good report on the food, because My Dog Moe is still having to have his food mixed with the old food for the transition....An most likely will take a month to see if his skin is getting better with using this food.... But we are slowly getting to the end of the transition period....
