The amount of food your dog needs will vary depending on breed, activity level, age and climate. Use our feeding chart as a guide, adjusting the quantity fed to achieve your dog’s ideal weight.

We suggest feeding twice a day, puppies more often. Provide fresh, clean water at all times. Regular exercise will help maintain a healthy body weight. Love, attention and tummy rubs should be given freely, as often as possible.

Pregnant/lactating females: increase intake by 50%.

Transition Instructions

It’s important to slowly transition your pet to a new food so their system has a chance to adapt to the change. The transition period should be at minimum, 10 days and could take upwards of 2 weeks, depending on your pet’s sensitivity to change.

  • Day 1 & 2: Feed 80% of your pet’s old food with 20% of the new food
  • Day 3 & 4: Feed 60% of your pet’s old food with 40% of the new food
  • Day 5 & 6: Feed 40% of your pet’s old food with 60% of the new food
  • Day 7, 8 & 9: Feed 20% of your pet’s old food with 80% of the new food
  • Day 10 & Forever: Feed 100% new food

I followed the feeding guidelines on your packaging, but my pet is too fat/thin. Why?

Feeding Guidelines are simply a place to start. You should increase or decrease the amount you feed based on your pet’s activity level and weight.

Are the ingredients used in Petcurean products “human-grade”?

All of our fresh meat and meat meal ingredients are sourced from animals passed fit for human consumption by the CFIA. The fruits and vegetables used in our recipes also come from the human food chain. We do not, however, claim that our ingredients are “human-grade”; once an individual ingredient leaves a “human-grade” processing facility and enters a “pet food” processor, the ingredient loses its “human-grade” classification.

What is an organic ingredient?

A certified organic ingredient provides a guarantee that the ingredient has met strict government standards for how food is grown, handled and processed; using organic agricultural methods. Organic agriculture focuses on farming practices that encourage soil and water conservation and regeneration, and reduces pollution. Organic farmers use natural fertilizers and pest control methods to benefit the soil, plants and animals for a healthy environment.

Where are your products made?

    Great food!

    By on

For years my 9yr old basset was on another 4-5 star food but lately she’s been having problems with #2 being greasy and her glands have also been having issues. I fed Lola Petcurian Now Fresh when she was a puppy so I decided to try the brand again and I’m happy that I did. There was an immediate improvement with her issues and she’s actually belching less too. She was on grain free previously so Maybe the grains are helping her? The now fresh was too expensive for me but when an advisor from Petcurean suggested the Go would be better for Lola and it was only $55 a bag, I decided to switch.

    Switching dog food

    By on

I’ve been using Taste of the Wild for about a year now. But had been told about this particular brand. It’s more money than TOTW but I noticed the carbs are lower and protein is higher. I’m still in the transitional phase of this dog food. In the past, switching dog foods has made poop clean up a messier experience. And I’ve switched back to TOTW. I’m hopeful this will be a good fit. So far they seem to like it mixed in.

    My Labrador loves it

    By on

It’s the second week using the food as I need to change very slowly the old one. I have a chocolate female lab that has seasonal allergies and I was advise from our vet to change the grain free food due to recent studies regarding heart decease in Labs. I’m happy with Go and the bag is truly a plus. It has some type of Velcro that seals the bag perfectly after opening. I haven’t seen any reactions on Zoey but she absolutely loves the food, she would go straight to the bag to sniff on it not on the old one.

    Dog likes it!

    By on

Previously feeding Proplan SSS salmon and dog stopped eating it and got loose stools. Switched to Go! Salmon since the recipe is close and he cleans his bowl every meal and his stool has improved! No chicken for those dogs that require it's absence.

    Great for my sensitive Labrador

    By on

My 2 year old Lab has had GI issues since he was 9 weeks old. After trying many foods, I finally found him a non-prescription food that he could tolerate, but it was chicken and rice based (low fat) and his skin was very dry. So I added salmon oil to his diet, but it still didn’t solve the dry skin issue completely. I finally found this food and problem solved! What a relief - and he absolutely loves the food.

    White Labrador Approved!

    By on

I have searched high and low for a dog food that has limited ingredients, no chicken by products or chicken anything. Most dogs have a high sensitivity to chicken and produced skin issues and itchiness! Unfortunately, everything on the market is now grain free and includes chicken for puppies! My dog is a large breed Labrador and gets severe diarrhea when he has no grains, so it is essential for his diet! I had my puppy on Fromm food and I really do love that brand, but even Fromm’s Salmon formula contains chicken cartilage. I did not want to go with a brand that was a big chain because quantity generally reduces quality! I contacted Petcurean the makers of Go! food, and they were wonderful! They were able to answer all my questions about the formula and even provide me with the education levels of the nutritionist and vets that created this from Canada. I also really like how they are transparent with everything in the formula. This formula is for all life stages and approved for dogs 70lbs and over! That is hard to find. I really appreciate this company producing quality food. It is to bad more people do not know about this brand because it is superior to many foods on the market. … more

Amazing food - good for bowels and picky eaters

    By on

We really love this dog food. It works for our 80lb sheepadoodle with chicken sensitivities, and also for our extremely picky 9lb papillon. We tried quite a few brands and so far this is the best one for solid poop from our sheepadoodle. Our papillon has been so picky his whole life, even going on hunger strikes until he gets what he wants, but he chows down on this one! Chewy is the only place I've seen that sells it, and we just love it.
