Freeze-Dried, Grain-Free Food
Combines tasty tidbits of meat, potatoes, carrots, apples, blueberries and cranberries, and some recipes add bananas, pumpkin, and sweet potatoes.
These recipes start out with chicken, rabbit, goat, lamb or fish, plus wholesome chickpeas, a low-glycemic legume that's full of protein, folic acid and fiber.
Tasty chicken, turkey or fish is the main course, and quinoa is added as a gluten-free superfood that offers extra protein and amino acids.
This food helps increase your pet's nutrient intake with superfood ingredients like hemp hearts, coconut, kale and turmeric.
Freeze-Dried, Grain-Free Treats
Choose your dog's favorite protein (or sweet potatoes, if that's his thing) with these single-ingredient treats.
Made to match the complete food formulas with five of the same ingredients, so you can serve it as an appetizer.
Bite-sized meatball treats that make satisfying snacks between mealtimes.
Organic, Oven-Baked Treats
These bakery-fresh treats are certified kosher and made from 100% organic, non-GMO ingredients. They're baked into a bear shape and loaded with fruits and vegetables.
Grandma's Special Tummy Remedy
Simple Remedy is just what the (doggie) doctor ordered for an upset stomach. It's the traditional recipe for nausea, vomiting and diarrhea that's easy to digest and gentle on the stomach. This formula is recommended by veterinarians as something you can feed your pup in place of his regular meal until he's back to normal. The recipe is simple—just boneless, skinless chicken breast meat and plain white rice. Add some water, and it's ready to serve!
Nothing Less Than the Best
To make premium pet food, you have to start with the best ingredients. Grandma Lucy's is committed to using GMO-free, human-grade ingredients that meet strict specifications. All ingredients are USDA-inspected and approved, including fresh meat, fruits and veggies from trusted farms. With a name like Grandma Lucy's, you'd expect a company that's family-owned and operated—one that you can trust. And that's exactly what you'll find. Since 1999, the Shook family has created pet foods of the same quality and made from the same healthy ingredients as their own food. Their main taste tester was Lucy, an 11-year-old Cocker Spaniel who had no problem turning down food she didn't like. These recipes have passed the Lucy taste test, so you know your pets are sure to love them just as much.
We have a 1yr old English cream golden retriever and a 12 week old English cream/standard golden retriever and we have been doing lots of training with recalling ang potty training and the basics. These treats were great to pop into their training for something a little different. The puppy was able to chew them well and they both seemed to love the flavor. A decent amount came in the bag and they weren’t crushed or damaged. Great treats and they didn’t have a funky smell :)
Great taste (I believe)

My dogs loved the smell the instant the bag opened up. I was expecting the treats to be freeze dried, and they were, but my dogs had to chew on them for a bit to eat. My hound that has a soft mouth didn't seem to enjoy that bit too much. They both loved the taste though!
Hard as a rock

I have never seen treats that are hard as rocks . My Newf and Chihuahua/rat terrier spit them at me .This last order I'm batting zero with these two. But I don't blame them these treats were like concrete. Oh well back to the drawing board.

Our 3 dogs love these! I do break them up sometimes even for our medium sized dogs, the size might not work well for small dogs. They don't break by hand easily, which could be the good news or the bad news, depending on what you prefer. I like the ingredient list, it's simple, healthy and no sugar.

Won't crumble and turn to dust

Typically give my dog Lincoln Bark or Orijen Dog treats only. The Orijen freeze dried treats turn to "duck dust"--not these ones they stay in little balls. My dog is a little treat pig but I am never concerned he is going to choke on them--he just chomps and chews.
Now if Chewy only carried the Lincoln Bark brand my shopping list would be complete!
Prob won't buy again

these crunchy treats are ok for my mini daschunds but they are a little hard for them to chew, I worry they'll choke if they can't break it before swallowing. they seem to like them well enough, but they don't beg for them or jump around in excitement when the treats come out
Way too hard

Maybe for a bigger dog these would work, but they are the hardest freeze dried treats I've seen. It was like watching my sheltie chew a rock
