The amount of food your dog needs will vary depending on breed, activity level, age and climate. Use our feeding chart as a guide, adjusting the quantity fed to achieve your dog’s ideal weight. We suggest feeding twice a day. Provide fresh, clean water at all times. Regular exercise will help maintain a healthy body weight. Love, attention and tummy rubs should be given freely, as often as possible.

    My pup loves the food!

    By on

I have a super picky pup who often decides when she does/doesn't like her food and it has been a struggle to find the "perfect" brand for her! We've been feeding her a high quality brand of kibble and it just didn't sit well with her taste buds anymore. We went to our local pet store and I've heard so many good things about this holistic brand, so I thought: "Why not try it?" We tried it and now she's in love with it! She'd even beg for food when she knows it's time to eat! It was a mistake on my part as I didn't prepare for stocking up on her food. Despite the chaos of everything going on, our order arrived within a week and we didn't have to worry about it not making it on time!

    My Mom's Aussie Loves It

    By on

I got this 1 for my mom's dog & she loves it. Normally she will ignore new food for a bit (up to an hr), but this? She dove right in & finished it all. I'm going to try this 1 for my chorkie & chihuahua since they like the macanna salmon. Hopefully they'll like this 1 too. But still 5 star because the dog it was bought for definitely loves it.

    My dog won't eat

    By on

My Australian shepherd isn't impressed. She has to be coaxed to eat it and I usually end up having to refrigerate it and try again later. It's just not worth the effort.

    Macanna Beef Receipe

    By on

I have 4 dogs that range in the 50 -70 lb range. I started mixing this into their dry food and stood back. Wow! All of my dogs finished their food in record time, even the picky ones! I highly recommend this food.

    Dog wouldn't eat it

    By on

Sadly my dog wouldn't even take a bite. I prepared it according to the directions. Smells like coconut, maybe that's why he turned his nose up at it.

    By on

My bulldog can’t get enough.. Besides him eating all of this food (mixed with dry), he licks his food bowl completely clean as well as the mixing bowl. I swear if he could talk he would say, “please I would like more .

    Not Enough Meat?

    By on

I wanted to try this because I'd been buying the Macanna premix and adding my own meat, but wanted to cut back on prep time. My picky dog liked the premix and the ingredients are awesome, so the complete mix seemed like a great option. However, there doesn't seem to be much meat in this at all! My dog still loves the taste and wolfs it down, but was acting ravenous between meals. I offered her some of her old kibble out of curiosity (she is a picky Yorkie who hates kibble) and she acted like she hadn't eaten in days. Even though this a high calorie food, I think it mostly from the pinto beans. Really wish there was more meat protein! I will use this as a meal topper for the benefits from the I wanted to try this because I'd been buying the Macanna premix and adding my own meat, but wanted to cut back on prep time.
