    Great food

    By on

My senior dog is loving this food! It's easy to feed, rehydrates quickly, and does not have a strong fish odor like other brands I've tried. The resealable zipper makes it easy to store/use on a daily basis, and for a 15 lb terrier, this will last quite some time. It's also helped improve his skin and coat!

    Better than kibble

    By on

I feed my dogs raw and dehydrated food. I like the convenience and variety Grandma Lucy offers. It’s easy to store and doesn’t take up freezer space. Disappointed that the second ingredient in Grandma Lucy’s products is potato, chick pea or other legumes that dogs either don’t need or digest. That seems to be true of many dehydrated foods. I’m guessing it’s a cost issue.

    100% Unsatisfied

    By on

This is not the quality I expected from the description presented in the advertisement. My dog who will eat anything wouldn't take a bite of this food. It has very little fish and mostly peas and is ground to fine with absolutely no chunks at all, just mush. The smell worried me, rancid odor. Would love to exchange it if possible?

Didn't Go Over Well With The Pups

    By on

My dogs wouldn't eat this at all. I made the solution thicker and thinner, and they just kept looking at me like it was some horrible trick. My vacuum cleaner dog tried to eat a few bites, but she was very not into it.

    Best Food Money Can Buy

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

This is a great food to feed your dogs! Freeze Dried is as close as you can get to "Raw". We like to add some probiotics and enzymes to help with the digestion process and Fish Oil to boost Omega 3s and coat quality. I've done tons and tons of research on pet food. I always find myself coming back to Grandma Lucy's. The fact that I can read every ingredient on the bag is huge! They are family owned and operated. At the end of the day, they are a wholesome small business that I love to support and when I feed their products, I know my pets are getting the best food money can buy.

    Clean bowl food

    By on

My very picky Poms get so excited when I am fixing their evening meal. They lick their bowls clean then check the other Pom's bowl just in case the first one missed a grain or two. This is one of the few foods they do this to.

    Best food for allergy dog!

    By on

I have an adopted Clumber Spaniel who came with terrible skin allergies. I tried multiple dog foods before I stumbled upon Grandma Lucy's. My boy has only been on the fish recipe for 3 weeks, but already I have seen a HUGE change in his behavior and coat. All of his scratching and chewing has stopped. All of his "dog acne" has disappeared without the use of antibiotics! Even his ears no longer bother him. I know it's expensive, but it's worth it considering it saves me from taking him to the vet's all the time.

Good product, but my labs didn’t like it

    By on

I bought this product because the ingredients seemed so pure and it was a great value for the money, compared to Honest Kitchen that I was buying before. My dogs started off eating it, but then one started to refuse it all together and the other would only eat it if I mixed it half and half with another food. Both are very non-picky labs who have never done this with other dehrydrated dog food. It has a very sticky and gummy texture & even made their poop gummy. I think it’s the amount of bananas in the food. But unfortunately I won’t be able to buy it again. It’s a bummer, because it really has good ingredients and is reasonable for the quality.
