Grandma's Special Tummy Remedy
Simple Remedy is just what the (doggie) doctor ordered for an upset stomach. It's the traditional recipe for nausea, vomiting and diarrhea that's easy to digest and gentle on the stomach. This formula is recommended by veterinarians as something you can feed your pup in place of his regular meal until he's back to normal. The recipe is simple—just boneless, skinless chicken breast meat and plain white rice. Add some water, and it's ready to serve!

With a name like Grandma Lucy's, you'd expect a company that's family-owned and operated—one that you can trust. And that's exactly what you'll find. Since 1999, the Shook family has created pet foods of the same quality and made from the same healthy ingredients as their own food. Their main taste tester was Lucy, an 11-year-old Cocker Spaniel who had no problem turning down food she didn't like. These recipes have passed the Lucy taste test, so you know your pets are sure to love them just as much.
My English Cream Retriever was eating vet food for his stomach problems.
The vet food was making his coat fall out. A breeder recommended this food (Rabbit) and now no more loose stools and his coat is back to normal, thick and shiny.
When I fed it to him first he would not touch it, so I just kept adding a little bit at a time into his kibble, now he eats it no problem. I also feed it to my Dachshunds they eat it but do not like it as much as my Retriever. I am so happy no more vet food. Thank You for this great product.
Love the novel protein!!
on Apr 2, 2018
Grandma Lucy's is such a great brand, I am so impressed that chewy's carries this stuff. This food has been amazing. My boxers love it and it even smells great! Having access to novel proteins has been essential for our sensitive, allergy prone boxers. I use this as a topper on both of their dry foods and they can't get enough. It also seems to have bigger chunks of dried meat than some other brands. With this food you can't go wrong.
It's never in stock

The rabbit food itself is a good food. My Bernese Mountain dog likes it, but doesn't love it. However, I LOVE what it has done for him. No more biting and licking his feet, scratching everywhere, no more hotspots, no more red eyes, and his fur is beautiful and shiny. I can usually get him to eat it by adding shredded cheese to it. But the biggest issue is that it's never in stock when I need it. And when it finally is in stock, it's coming from a warehouse all the way across the country and takes a week to get to me!
My 8 months old Lab pup that would eat anything won't even touch it
on Sep 7, 2017
He's allergic, was perfectly fine and happy with some other rabbit kibble however the first ingredient there was potato, and it contained no fruits and veggies. We wanted to at least mix it with something healthier. First day he ate 1/4 cup. Stool was soft :( Second day wouldn't even touch it and not acting like his usual self. Won't eat at all, even his old food that he loves. Looks like it has great ingredients but didn't work for us at all with a puppy who never refused to any food.
My dogs LOVE it!

Been feeding this to my dogs now for 1 month and they love it! I also mix with Honest Kitchen Instant Goat Milk for added probiotics. They love it and are eagerly waiting while I mix it up

This food smells so good, I almost want to dig in myself ... almost! My bully loves it, the food mixes easily, and agrees with his digestion well.

I have tried several dehydrated dog food mixes and this is the best so far. Mixes well, can see the meat, satisfies all 3 rescue dogs tummies, and good value. All are happy!

Great for allergy sufferers

Our dog suffers from seasonal allergies. Since changing him over to his new freeze dried diet, ALL symptoms have stopped. He also loves the product, so I feel that it's a win-win situation.
Dogs love it

I bought this as a topper and mixer for high quality kibble while giving my senior pug wet food that doesn't come in a can. (too many recalls on can foods)
They ALL love it. I mix other things in it like raw boost nuggets and rolled food chunks and of course kibble for crunch. It is easy to use and everyone seems to be doing well on it. It has a strong gamey smell and I suspect that is why they are so keen to eat it up. My senior is completely grain free and this is a big part of her diet because of allergies to other proteins. We are all happy about that.
