first order was great, second order was all dust!!
By Emma on Apr 1, 2021
I ordered this orchard grass the first time to give my allergies a break from timothy hay, and it was great! The hay was fantastic and easy to fluff up from the bale. The second time I ordered though, I ordered two bales because I loved it so much and was very disappointed. Both bales were almost entirely dust, the longest pieces were about 3-4 inches long and very thin. Very disappointed.

The best hay I've found!
By Julie on Feb 22, 2021
The hay is fantastic! I love the 10lb size. The compressed bale doesn't look like much at first, but if you FLUFF IT UP (like it says to do right on the bag) when you pull the hay out of the bag, then you will be very impressed! Before Grandpa's Best, I bought 40oz bags of a leading hay brand, and then tried that same brand's 9lb box (which was VERY disappointing). Compared to the other brand's 9lb hay box, Grandpa's Best 10lb hay is: [1] is a better value (1lb MORE hay for around $5 less), [2] better quality - longer strands, even texture, less dust, etc., and [3] takes up 1/3 of the space in my house. We have two 3-4lb rabbits and two guinea pigs: all are given unlimited amounts of hay The hay is fantastic! I love the 10lb size. It is All Dust
By grandpa on Mar 30, 2021
My guinea pigs won't eat it. It is all 1" pieces of grass and dust. My usual brand of orchard grass was out of stock so thought I'd try this and I'm sorry I did. It has been so compressed that it's disintegrated and now I'm left with no grass for my pigs and a bag of dust. Do not recommended at all.

By Gail on Apr 6, 2021
I thought buying this compact hay would be better I was wrong so compact hay was hard to seperate my guinea pigs didnt like it and wouldnt eat it so it basically became cage bedding such a waste I've learned my lesson stick with the bigger boxes that they love.

From Grandpa's lawn
By LittleCritters on Mar 20, 2021
This came as a hard brick of hay. It was very hard to break apart. It was more like smooshed grass clippings from a lawn mower. I would not buy again.

Not for my guinea b plugs
By Beth on Feb 17, 2021
I was very dissatisfied with this orchid grass it was just all dusty and the quality didn't seem as good as some others that I've bought

poor quality of hay
By Amanda on Feb 5, 2021
Do not order this product unless you want to give your animals mowed up grass! I did get a refund but our guinea pigs won’t even touch it!

horrible hay
By citybunny on Jan 29, 2021
They are bricks not hay! As I follow the instructions to fluff it, it crumbled to dust. I did half of the block and was covered in green dust!

Easy to store
By bunmama2 on Dec 22, 2020
Easy and compact to store. The hay was soft and had long strands once I break the bale, but I couldn't get my picky bun to eat it. I would recommend it for others.
