Has anybody used this item for chickens for pecking wounds? If so, does it affect the eggs for consumption or do you need to separate the chicken?
Answer by ChewyJul 02, 2020
This all-natural salve is designed to sooth and temporarily relieve symptoms associated with Cuts, Scrapes, Blisters, Rashes, Abrasions, Pecking Sores, Itching, Prolapsed Vent, Frostbite, Beaks, Bumblefoot, Combs and Wattles.

Will this product freeze? I want to use it as a frostbite protector
Answer by ChewyDec 02, 2021
If the temperatures are low enough the salve can freeze. The poultry first aid will not prevent frostbite, but may be used to help relieve symptoms of frostbite.

Does this stop bleeding of a wound
Answer by ChewyJan 03, 2021
This was designed to soothe minor cuts, scrapes, bumblefoot and leg mites.

Great Product!

My baby ducky got a tiny on her foot and wasn’t looking too great- a few days on this and it was fabulous! Also- I put it on the combs of my chickens- this thing works wonders - every chicken/duck/bird owner should have this.

Green Goo works fast for healing. You will love it!

I ordered and used the Green Goo Poultry First Aid. In this case, my cockatiel Izzy, had a cut on the bottom of her foot, which had gotten infected, (aka bumble foot). I had tried every first aid ointment, healing salve, and antibiotics. I applied the Green Goo, using a cotton swab, wiping it under her foot, while she was perched on my hand. After applying it only 4 times in two days, the large hard scab had come off by itself, leaving new pink skin. Now she perches using that foot. Wow, this is amazing stuff! I am still applying it until it heals completely. Even though this product was not specifically mentioned for parrots, I am so glad I tried it. I did not worry about the Goo drying, as it absorbs really fast. And you will love the smell. It is very soothing to the senses. I decided to buy the product, when previously I saw a website about chickens, and someone wrote about using it for her parrot. After using the Green Goo for two days, I talked with the company of Green Goo, and the ingredients are the same regardless of the animal on the label, whether for dogs, chickens, horses, etc, or parrots. She said it great for people too! It is a Homeopathic ointment, with infused herbs for healing. And I think the herbs are very calming also. Green Goo is a must for your first aid kit! The same green Goo will work for all. Other ways used: I also used it on a scab on my dog's ear. My dog hates getting messed with, but she likes the Green Goo, and waits (highly irregular) for it to be applied. I used it on me for a scratch, and it took the pain away and healed really fast.
