Do you have to keep refrigerated or can it be on counter and for how long
Answer by ChewyNov 02, 2017
Unopened bottles can be stored away from sunlight at room temperature, or you can refrigerate if desired. Opened bottles can also be stored at room temperature and out of direct sunlight, or in the refrigerator. Refrigerated: use the oil in about 8-10 months. Not refrigerated: use the oil in 4-6 months after opening. Either way, be sure to use the oil by the "best before" date stamped next to the UPC code (a two digit month followed by a two digit year)

Answer by ChewyMar 27, 2018

Is this all natural? Is it simialar to the salmon oil?
Answer by ChewyNov 10, 2017
This Supplement contains Salmon Oil, Pollock Oil and Tocopherols (preservative). It's loaded with wild salmon oil from the pristine waters of Alaska, it’s high in EPA and DHA—the only omega-3 fatty acids that are readily absorbed by your dog’s metabolism—plus natural antioxidants and trace vitamins to help maintain a healthy skin and coat, as well as brain, vision, immune and reproductive health.

Dog said, it smells like disappointment.

I bought this for an older dog who is a picky eater. A few nights before receiving this product, I had given her some of my leftover salmon filet and she licked her bowl clean. I was sure this was going to be received as a treat, but it turned out to be anything but. I put the recommended three (3) pumps onto a full bowl of her normal dry dog food, mixed it in, and put it down in front of her. She had been wagging her tail and prancing in place waiting for her dinner. She sniffed her food, and the oil, and walked away, tail down and pouting. She didn't touch her food all night and refused to eat it in the morning as well. This might be good for some, but not for Shelby girl. She was fine with eating fish oil from the omega-3 capsules that I take, but it's costly and messy trying to break enough capsules open to put on her food every night. I was really hoping this would have been a better option, but she absolutely refused it.

Dog Disliked

I got this to help with my beagle-mix's shedding, but he will not eat any kind of food that this oil touches. He actively avoids it, and will eat around it. If it's mixed in, he won't eat the food. It was disappointing. A side note for the less picky dogs, this is messy. I was careful to pump it, but it still leaked and made a mess. I had to keep a paper towel under the bottle.

At the recommendation of The Modern Ferret

Bought this for my ferrets at the recommendation of The Modern Ferret since this is apparently the same oil that they use for theirs, but none of mine were interested in it. We tried all different methods of getting them to try it, and nobody cared about it or anything. Usually they aren’t very receptive to treats and what not, but the moment we can actually get them to taste it, they are very interested. We were hoping that this would help their coats during the shedding months, and just give them a nice treat when we cut their nails, but unfortunately no one was interested. We also have a dog, so we may try giving it to him after talking to his vet, but as of right now I have a pretty neutral opinion on this product. If you’re buying it for your ferrets, maybe try seeing if you can buy it in store first, and getting a smaller bottle.

Going to throw out

Maybe I got a defective bottle, but it comes out not clearly as oil but a bright red something which my cat will not TOUCH. Tried three times. This old cat loves oils, especially fish oils, but I have to wonder what this really is. Going to throw out my large bottle and order some real fish oil.

Every dog owner should try this

I have a German Shepherd/Ridgeback mix, ever since she was a puppy she has been extremely finicky with her food. The last two years I have been putting two pumps of this in her food and wow does she love it. Not only does she adore the taste, but she looks gorgeous. She has excellent skin and coat health and I think this salmon oil plays a big part in that.Since she is a big dog, I also love that salmon oil is a natural source of glucosamine and great for her joints. On top of all that, despite my dog being 80 pounds and using this product every meal, a 32 ounce bottle lasts us 4 to 6 months. Definitely affordable for the good that it does

Ben’s Mom!

My little guy Ben has been diagnosed with dementia. My Vet put him on food that helps with brain function and this product which he loves thankfully. He’s been on both for about 4 months now and although he hasn’t improved, he hasn’t gotten worse, which is my goal for now. He could improve the longer he’s on both. Dementia I’ve learned hits our dogs fast and progresses fast, and eventually he’ll forget how to eat and drink. He’s forgotten how to play. I’m hoping and praying that doesn’t happen for a long time. He’s my sweetie and it’s heartbreaking to see him so confused. But he still responds to cuddling, so he’s cuddled quite a bit.

Helps bald spots!

My GSD mix has horrible skin allergies and was losing hair on his sides. He’s all black so the missing hair was really obvious. He had several bald spots all over. I bought this hoping for the best. It took about 3 full weeks for his hair to grow back in, but it worked! 2 squirts on his food in the morning and 2 squirts on his food at night. He loves it!

Grizzly is great

The dogs love the taste. But I love the way it helps both of them become healthier. Layla stopped burping all the time and Aldo just seems calmer. I had read on the anxiety issue and some where it said omega 3 can help...we tried and it did help. So happy.

Not as shown

This is the product with the blue fish on front NOT the peach fish as shown. Therefore it is NOT the product as advertised. The version with the blue fish is inferior/different than the product with the peach fish on front.

I'm sure it's great but my dog hates it

My dog usually loves everything fishy but she won't touch her food if I put this in it!! I know other people who had good experiences with it, so maybe just my dog! Will have to return
