Pets with sensitive stomachs may need to transition a little more slowly to avoid any digestive upset. If you introduce the new food too quickly and your cat or dog experiences some digestive upset, just back up to the previous transition amount where your pet wasn’t having any trouble and feed that amount for a few more days before continuing with the transition. Once your pet is eating all Halo food, if you switch between Halo recipes, consider a 2- or 3-day transition to minimize stomach upset.

Holistic. Whole. Humane.
Halo is committed to providing no less than the best holistic recipes to satisfy your cat’s carnivorous cravings. Their wet cat food combines pure, natural ingredients like whole meat, poultry and fish plus non-GMO fruits and vegetables for delicious, more digestible meals. Following a whole meat philosophy, Halo never uses animal by-products or meat meals—just the real, whole proteins your cat needs to thrive.
Superior Digestibility
Halo believes that whole meat equals a whole lot more digestibility. As obligate carnivores, cats need meat, not just parts of animals that you wouldn’t consider to be meat. When your pet gets whole proteins instead of rendered meats like chicken meal or fish meal, they’re getting optimum nutrition that’s easier for their body to digest. And that means they can get the full benefits of each nutrient-rich ingredient.
What's in Your Cat's Bowl?
With Halo, you won’t see a meat meal hiding anywhere in the ingredients, and there’s no corn, wheat, wheat gluten, rice or artificial colors, preservatives or flavors. Here’s what you will find:
Holistic Whole Meat: Salmon, whitefish, chicken or turkey that's slow-cooked provides a more digestible source of protein with up to 16 times less ash than rendered meat.
Non-GMO Produce: Fruits and vegetables from farms that refuse to use genetically modified seeds that rely heavily on chemical fertilizers and herbicides to produce crops.

Only Chicken-based food a dedicated fish-eating cat will eat
By Alice on Dec 5, 2018
My cat does not eat chicken full stop. However as I wanted to move him onto senior food and the only choices in wet food Halo offers is chicken or turkey, so I bought a can of each to see if he would even consider eating them. He turned his nose up at the turkey, but after one hesitant taste of the chicken he began eating it like there was no tomorrow. I do mix in a little coconut water to loosen the texture up, but he will eat it even if I don't.

5 Cats and They Won't Touch This
By Devi on Sep 26, 2018
I have 5 rescue kitties, ages 9 to 15, and not a single one of them will eat this. Actually, they won't eat ANY of the wet Halo brand of food that I bought for them. I even tried to mix it with what is considered a lower brand of cat food, their favorite Friskies Shreds. Mixed really well, they try to eat the Halo food from around the Friskies, ending up leaving almost all of it in their bowls. This has gone on for several days, I even tried to switch back to Friskies and add a tiny bit of the Halo at a time. It must be the smell, they will not eat it, follow me around yelling about how hungry they are. It was a huge waste of $$$ for me, I thought I was giving them something that was better I have 5 rescue kitties, ages 9 to 15, and not a single one of them will eat this. They all hate it
By Pamela on Sep 18, 2018
This is the first time buying this brand and I really thought this would be a good formula for my senior. When he wouldn't eat it, I tried the other cats, but none of my 3 cats will touch it. I bought 2 cases, this senior formula and another grain-free salmon formula. They won't touch either flavor, even when I've mixed it with their favorite wet foods. So, all I've done is waste their other food also. I've also tried withholding, thinking they'd get hungry enough, but they'd rather go without.

House full of cat give it two paws up
By Jagcat on Dec 6, 2018
Some of my picky cats enjoyed this food. Generally they don't like any seafood, so this worked for them.

An excellent cat food
By Joan65 on Sep 24, 2018
My cat Nancy enjoys this a lot more than a renal support cat food which I had to throw away many times as she wouldn't eat it. The Halo senior blend even looks palatable. Kudos to the company for this.

We adopted a senior cat and this food is a hit
By CatGirl on Jul 1, 2018
We recently added JR to our family - a 15 year young cat that found himself homeless due sad circumstances. We knew we had to adapt his diet and also find a food that would be beneficial for him and our 2 cats. The 3 of them love this food as their "tea time" meal and we couldn't be happier with halo.

Halo senior Cat food
By Angie on Sep 8, 2018
Unfortunately, my Senior cats did not like the chicken and chickpea food. I even mixed with additional water, but no help.

not for picky cats
By yvonne606 on Jun 12, 2018
my senior cat is 13 and the other is 5. neither one will eat this food. I put it outside for the stray cats that come around. they will not even eat it. I guess I will donate the rest of these cans to the shelter. maybe some of the cats there will eat this. none of mine will.

All 3 cats won't touch it
By Cheryl on Apr 29, 2018
Title says it all. I've tried doctoring it with things they like, and they look at me like I'm trying to poison them. They LOVE the succulent salmon, so it's not the brand (which I've used for several years now), but that flavor is often out of stock. Wonder why... :-)

Very healthy food...but my cats do not like pate
By JJ2060 on Jul 10, 2018
I wish they made a sliced or minced senior food...the ingredients are superb...no meal
