Pets with sensitive stomachs may need to transition a little more slowly to avoid any digestive upset. If you introduce the new food too quickly and your cat or dog experiences some digestive upset, just back up to the previous transition amount where your pet wasn’t having any trouble and feed that amount for a few more days before continuing with the transition. Once your pet is eating all Halo food, if you switch between Halo recipes, consider a 2- or 3-day transition to minimize stomach upset.

Holistic. Whole. Humane.
Halo is committed to providing no less than the best holistic recipes to satisfy your cat’s carnivorous cravings. Their wet cat food combines pure, natural ingredients like whole meat, poultry and fish plus non-GMO fruits and vegetables for delicious, more digestible meals. Following a whole meat philosophy, Halo never uses animal by-products or meat meals—just the real, whole proteins your cat needs to thrive.
Super Digestibility
Halo believes that whole meat equals a whole lot more digestibility. As obligate carnivores, cats need meat, not just parts of animals that you wouldn’t consider to be meat. When your pet gets whole proteins instead of rendered meats like chicken meal or fish meal, they’re getting optimum nutrition that’s easier for their body to digest. And that means they can get the full benefits of each nutrient-rich ingredient.
What's in Your Cat's Bowl?
With Halo, you won’t see a "meat meal" hiding anywhere in the ingredients, and there’s no corn, wheat, wheat gluten, rice or artificial colors, preservatives or flavors. Here’s what you will find:
Holistic Whole Protein: Salmon, whitefish, chicken or turkey that's slow-cooked provides a more digestible source of protein with up to 16 times less ash than rendered meat.
Non-GMO Produce: Fruits and vegetables from farms that refuse to use genetically modified seeds that rely heavily on chemical fertilizers and herbicides to produce crops.

Our Special Needs Angel Finally EATS!
By Beena on Jan 9, 2021
We adopted two kittens recently and one of them is blind. We believe she's got some stomach issues and sensitivity but her warrior spirit is so sweet, you'd never know! That is, until it was wet food time. She tried to bury every brand of wet food we gave her, sometimes only eating a few bites. We also have to add hot water to make a porridge consistency, otherwise she doesn't eat it. We finally tried Halo and noticed that she ate... and ate a LOT more of this food than any other brands! She consistently eats it, too, and as far as her brother? Well let's just say I haven't seen a kitten with a Buddha belly that didn't have gastro issues. In his case, he's just a healthy, chubby bunny We adopted two kittens recently and one of them is blind. Finally a food he loves!
By EHW10583 on Jan 8, 2021
After scouring online reviews about cat food for picky cats, I took a chance on Halo chicken pate for kittens. My kitten is devouring it as if he hasn’t eaten for days. The ingredients don’t include fillers or meal so that’s a huge plus (probably why it’s more expensive)

Kittens love it
By Lulu on Aug 13, 2020
When I adopted my kittens, they both had diarrhea from a different brand of food they were eating from the shelter. When I switched to Halo they went normal right away. They love this food. They don’t even come up for air when they are eating. They lick the bowl clean. I love the healthy ingredients.

Great food, if your cats will eat it
By n9282 on Jun 17, 2020
This is a quality product based on the ingredients. Unfortunately, there is inconsistency between batches. The first case my kittens ate with ease and ate it all. The second and third cases, they will not eat it. The consistency is different - much more "solid" and difficult to mash. Definitely not like the first case. The kittens will eat it if I warm it up and if they are hungry enough, but they definitely do not chose to eat it and a lot is leftover. Will not be re-purchasing unfortunately.

Healed digestive issues, better coat, more energy!
By BengalandBlueMom on May 16, 2020
Our new Bengal kitten came to our home very sick and needed 3 rounds of Rx to get a URI cleared up. The meds gave her diarrhea, so our vet prescribed Hills I/D. The diarrhea, and now gas and oily/spiky looking fur, got severe. Even after coming off the Rx, the digestive issues continued, so I figured out the I/D food was the culprit. It was so bad I considered a raw diet, but couldn't commit. In comes Halo. After researching for many hours, I decided to give this a try and within ONE DAY, our baby was pooping solids. Within 3 days, her coat was beautiful and shiny again. I was so grateful I emailed Halo directly to thank them for a superior product. Our Russian Blue has been looking peaked after starting the I/D diet, and she's now eating Halo as well, and also starting to look MUCH better. Both of them have energy now, are excited to eat the food, and are in better health after 1 week. It took them a day or two to really get start enjoying a new wet food, but now I will never switch from Halo. It's worth the expense to feed a high quality food that improves my pet's health. (We tried the chicken and fish types, and the fish smells VERY strong, so we are sticking with chicken.) … more
