Puppy:

Up to 12 wks of age; feed as much as your puppy will eat in 3 - 4 feedings per day.
12 to 26 wks; feed 1 to 2 cans per 5 lbs. of body weight per day.
26 wks to 1 yr; feed 1 can per 5 lbs. of body weight per day.

For Combination Feeding:

Feed 1/3 cup less dry food for every 1 can of wet food.

Transition Instructions

Days 1 - 3: 75% non Halo food, 25% Halo
Days 4 - 5: 50% non Halo food, 50% Halo
Days 6 - 7: 25% non Halo food, 75% Halo
Days 8+: 100% Halo

Pets with sensitive stomachs may need to transition a little more slowly to avoid any digestive upset. If you introduce the new food too quickly and your cat or dog experiences some digestive upset, just back up to the previous transition amount where your pet wasn’t having any trouble and feed that amount for a few more days before continuing with the transition. Once your pet is eating all Halo food, if you switch between Halo recipes, consider a 2- or 3-day transition to minimize stomach upset.

not approved

unfortunately my dog does not like this food. tried several different times over few weeks, no luck. it smells weird especially couple hrs after opening (whole can is usually too much for my dog so I leave half in in the original can and closed plastic container in the fridge). not sure what to do with the rest of the unused cans but definitely will NOT be buying more.

Great company

My pets only eat Halo food. So when I got a new puppy, we bought the Halo puppy cans and kibble for her. She loves the wet food of course. Like my other dog, she is less into the kibble version but will munch occasionally. I mostly buy Halo products because they source their meats sustainably/ethically/humanely. I will not feed my pets tortured animals. Halo also gets a very high grade from Dog Food Advisor so I know my dog is getting high quality nutrition.

Great nutrition!

My puppy wasn't gaining weight like she should, but now she is filling out well and loves the food. I mix a little dry food in to give her some crunch.

Salty and dog reluctantly eats

My dog doesn’t really like this but eventually eats it. He then drinks enormous quantities of water. Looked at label has lots of salt. Don’t understand why so much salt in dog food. Would like an option with no salt.

This is great!

My puppy finally eats regularly. I mix 1/5-1/4 can on her 1/2 cup kibble and it disappears most days. I had tried everything. Someone gave me a can for adult dogs and she loved it but it gave her diarrhea. Obviously she needed the puppy type at 7 months old. Now I don’t stress about food for her.

Hello Halo!

This was the first time I bought Halo brand dog food, and I'm so glad I did. The boys (two rat terrorists) love it! I supplement their dry food with canned food about every three day. While I'm scooping it out of the can, one dances for me while the other one tells me to hurry up.
