Pets with sensitive stomachs may need to transition a little more slowly to avoid any digestive upset. If you introduce the new food too quickly and your cat or dog experiences some digestive upset, just back up to the previous transition amount where your pet wasn’t having any trouble and feed that amount for a few more days before continuing with the transition. Once your pet is eating all Halo food, if you switch between Halo recipes, consider a 2- or 3-day transition to minimize stomach upset.

About Halo Wet Cat Food

America's Best Loved Holistic Brand
Holistic. Whole. Humane.

Holistic. Whole. Humane.

Halo is committed to providing no less than the best holistic recipes to satisfy your cat’s carnivorous cravings. Their wet cat food combines pure, natural ingredients like whole meat, poultry and fish plus non-GMO fruits and vegetables for delicious, more digestible meals. Following a whole meat philosophy, Halo never uses animal by-products or meat meals—just the real, whole proteins your cat needs to thrive.

Superior Digestibility

Halo believes that whole meat equals a whole lot more digestibility. As obligate carnivores, cats need meat, not just parts of animals that you wouldn’t consider to be meat. When your pet gets whole proteins instead of rendered meats like chicken meal or fish meal, they’re getting optimum nutrition that’s easier for their body to digest. And that means they can get the full benefits of each nutrient-rich ingredient.

What's in Your Cat's Bowl?

With Halo, you won’t see a meat meal hiding anywhere in the ingredients, and there’s no corn, wheat, wheat gluten, rice or artificial colors, preservatives or flavors. Here’s what you will find:

Holistic Whole Meat: Salmon, whitefish, chicken or turkey that's slow-cooked provides a more digestible source of protein with up to 16 times less ash than rendered meat.

Non-GMO Produce: Fruits and vegetables from farms that refuse to use genetically modified seeds that rely heavily on chemical fertilizers and herbicides to produce crops.

    This is a particular favorite

    By on

I wouldn't have thought my pickiest furry would like this, but she loves it....as long as she doesn't see it every day. It's too rich for one of my old cats, who throws up seafood of any kind...but I thought I would give this a try with her...nope. However, the others love it.

    Cats won’t eat it

    By on

My cats love fish and chicken but both turned up their nose to this recipe. Now I have 11 cans to donate. Ugh. Chewy—please carry the Halo Seafood Medley recipe. My cats love that one.

    Thumbs down from my cats

    By on

I've been trying so hard to find a high quality cat food that my cats will actually eat so I was excited for them to try the Halo wet foods. It's got pretty good ratings so I gave it a go. Unfortunately, all 3 of my cats refuse to eat this. One little nibble and they run away. Disappointed that I have an uneaten case of cat food but I'll keep trying.

Cat Won't Eat Chicken & Trout

    By on

For some reason, our cat will not eat this flavor at all. He gives it "the paw". He loves the Halo Seafood Medley, the Turkey and Duck and the Whitefish but this is a no go.

Good Catholic kitties (named for saints) who eat fish on Friday

    By on

I'm not sure the cats care about the religious side of things so eating fish on Fridays doesn't mean anything to them but they are always VERY excited when they see and smell me opening the cans of Halo Chicken & Trout Recipe.

    Quality Cat food

    By on

I wasn't sure if I should buy Halo Chicken and Trout, as they changed the formula. At first, Bob sniffed at it and walked away. Here we go! After the 2nd can, he finally warmed up to it and is now gobbling it up. I highly recommend this and all Halo cat food.

    Healthy Option

    By on Top 100 Contributor

My kitties enjoyed this new flavor to their menu. Halo Vigor provides another excellent option to their daily dinner menu and they liked the texture. Would purchase again.

    Maybe?

    By on Top 25 Contributor

I'm not crazy about Halo, because they're sketchy about who manufactures their food... But both my cats eat this no problem my kitten is a piglet and will eat anything but my 3 yo is very fussy and he eats this (he typically doesn't like pate)

Oh dear. Reviews were very promising but....

    By on

You know how cats are. My two gave the stink eye to it and me. I give them wet food at night, and as they've gotten pickier and I've been working to give them better quality food, I've been trying different kinds through my autoship. In the morning, the ones that they walk away from will usually end up being 75% consumed. This just sits there like an accident. More donations for the animal shelter.

    All 3 are enjoying

    By on

Almost all my reviews start with "so far so good"... because my finicky cats and dogs get bored after a few weeks and want a change. So with this, it's going well with all 3 and we're on the 2nd week. I think they like the trout flavor, different from the usual tuna or salmon.
