Transition Instructions

Guidelines for changing your pet’s current dry or wet food to Halo dry or wet food:

Days 1-3: 75% old food, 25% Halo

Days 4-5: 50% old food, 50% Halo

Days 6-7: 25% old food, 75% Halo

Days 8+: 100% Halo

Pets with sensitive stomachs may need to transition a little more slowly to avoid any digestive upset. If you introduce the new food too quickly and your cat or dog experiences some digestive upset, just back up to the previous transition amount where your pet wasn’t having any trouble and feed that amount for a few more days before continuing with the transition. Once your pet is eating all Halo food, if you switch between Halo recipes, consider a 2- or 3-day transition to minimize stomach upset.

"The Proof is in the Poop" I have a senior Sheltie that suffers from IBS. During an elimination diet we discovered Chicken,GMO Hormones Artificial Flavors and colors and most of all preservatives were our enemy. All of those are in just about every dog food sold, til we found Halo!! Yeah

The proof really is in the Poop. Its hard to find a Senior Salmon dry food. Bought this due to his age and allergies and so far seems to be helping.

  • LOVE this food & the halo company!!

my 3 dogs loved this food! and they are PICKY! when you spoil your dogs with real meat scraps they tend to get an 'attitude" about anything less than bits of filet mignon and such! but something about this food was yummy to them.. i don't question any longer.. if they eat it then I'm happy :) also, the info on the back of the packaging taught me what "meal" is.. chicken-meal, turkey-meal, etc, & its NOT good.. i never knew this!! HALO is an AMAZING company and because they are so devoted to the health of animals and the planet i will be a loyal customer for life!! my dogs love the food and i love the company philosophy!! win/win!!
