Pets with sensitive stomachs may need to transition a little more slowly to avoid any digestive upset. If you introduce the new food too quickly and your cat or dog experiences some digestive upset, just back up to the previous transition amount where your pet wasn’t having any trouble and feed that amount for a few more days before continuing with the transition. Once your pet is eating all Halo food, if you switch between Halo recipes, consider a 2- or 3-day transition to minimize stomach upset.

This was our first time buying the Wild Salmon & Whitefish food. Fiasco loves the halo food brand, and his stool has been much more firm since switching to this food!

My dogs have been raw fed most of their lives but when I moved in with my fiance and the number of dogs I was feeding went from 2 to 5 I decided to search for a nutritional kibble that would save me time and money and still keep my dogs healthy. Halo is that kibble! The dogs love it and they are still in excellent health. My only complaint is the price fluctuation on Chewy. When I started buying it a 21lb bag was closer to $30 and now within weeks, it's at $65. For someone that buys 4 every three weeks, that's a huge difference. I hope the price goes back down so I can stock up!

It’s becoming increasingly difficult to find a quality dog food without rosemary extract. Halo does not have rosemary extract, my dogs love it, and their coats have noticeably become shinier and silkier since I switched to Halo. Have also fed the chicken for small breeds formula and they love it as well. Will continue to feed as long as they don’t change the formulas.

I have had many dogs in my lifetime but refused to purchase another until it could be fed the proper diet. I have never seen a documentary on wolves that were raiding a vegetable garden or wheat field. And the new dogs foods today are a step up from years previous but in the manner that it is processed it is still not the best for our pets. From the research that I have done Halo processes its foods naturally instead of flash cooking at extreme temperatures turning the meat into a powder and then binding it together. Because Halo is real meat and naturally processed it is a bit more expensive and a little more care in storing it is necessary but it is an excellent product.

I like the Halo brand but my animals have preferred other brands ( namely Farmina for both cats and dog ). This was on sale and since Cooper often steals the cats' food, I decided to give it a try. He will eat it but only after waiting all day for the treat fairy to drop something else in his bowl. Good food, good brand, picky dog.
