Pets with sensitive stomachs may need to transition a little more slowly to avoid any digestive upset. If you introduce the new food too quickly and your cat or dog experiences some digestive upset, just back up to the previous transition amount where your pet wasn’t having any trouble and feed that amount for a few more days before continuing with the transition. Once your pet is eating all Halo food, if you switch between Halo recipes, consider a 2- or 3-day transition to minimize stomach upset.

Both my cat and dog will not eat these treats

By Scott on Dec 27, 2016

My cat is not very picky, but he will not eat these treats. My dog however, will eat anything. Seriously, my dog will eat just about anything, except for these treats. They both LOVE the chicken treats made by the same company. So I will just keep getting the chicken ones

    Cats hated it!

By Twindns on Dec 2, 2016

I have 2 cats and purchased the chicken counterpart of this product. My cats loved the chicken. So I figure I would try the lamb. As soon as I opened it, there was a strong, weird smell to them. When I gave to my cats, they walked away. One cat came back and started playing hockey with it. I will take this off of my autoship order.

    My dogs love this product

By Dinolola on Oct 14, 2016

My dogs love the Halo chicken, beef and salmon treats so I just got them the New Zealand Lamb Liver treat. I read different reviews on the product about it being hard to chew but decided to try it anyway and my dogs love it. I just received the Rabbit treat so that will be the next one to try. Thanks Halo.

only 1 of my 3 dogs liked this treat.

By Sandy on Aug 22, 2016

Only 1 out of 3 of my dogs liked these treats. Plus, your company shipped me my order on AUg 9 and Aug 12. A glitch in your system. DOn't know why I received a double order. Plus I paid $10.00 for the liver treats. the size was so small. I was shocked with the price for it. Plus with the double shipment, that makes 20.00 for liver treats that all my dogs don't like. Not happy about this.

My dogs loved these but not my cats

By Beth on Jun 1, 2016

Excellent product. I always feel confident serving Halo to my fur babies. My 3 cats did not care for these treats (sniffed and walked away) but my 2 large dogs absolutely loved them! Being freeze dried I was careful to wash my hands after handling.

Love the idea - my cat doesn't agree

By AnneF on Mar 26, 2016

I thought that "freeze-dried" meant that something could be reconstituted - like freeze-dried mushrooms. Apparently the bits are not actually chunks of freeze-dried liver, but perhaps liver powder made up into blocks. At any rate, it does not reconstitute. It is extremely dry/powdery and my can doesn't like it. This is very unfortunate because I loved the idea of only the one ingredient. Maybe I will try crumbling it over his food. That doesn't count as a 'treat', but at least he would get the nutrition. I would still recommend the product if your animal will eat it. Maybe dogs would like it better.

a little stiff i not too easy to break up for my cats. . . The dog loved it!

By Susan on Feb 28, 2016

My dog liked this treat. I thought it was a little too hard for the cats, and it took a while to break up. Would not recommend for cats.
