Pets with sensitive stomachs may need to transition a little more slowly to avoid any digestive upset. If you introduce the new food too quickly and your cat or dog experiences some digestive upset, just back up to the previous transition amount where your pet wasn’t having any trouble and feed that amount for a few more days before continuing with the transition. Once your pet is eating all Halo food, if you switch between Halo recipes, consider a 2- or 3-day transition to minimize stomach upset.

Holistic. Whole. Humane.
Halo is committed to providing no less than the best holistic recipes to satisfy your cat’s carnivorous cravings. Their wet cat food combines pure, natural ingredients like whole meat, poultry and fish plus non-GMO fruits and vegetables for delicious, more digestible meals. Following a whole meat philosophy, Halo never uses animal by-products or meat meals—just the real, whole proteins your cat needs to thrive.
Super Digestibility
Halo believes that whole meat equals a whole lot more digestibility. As obligate carnivores, cats need meat, not just parts of animals that you wouldn’t consider to be meat. When your pet gets whole proteins instead of rendered meats like chicken meal or fish meal, they’re getting optimum nutrition that’s easier for their body to digest. And that means they can get the full benefits of each nutrient-rich ingredient.
What's in Your Cat's Bowl?
With Halo, you won’t see a "meat meal" hiding anywhere in the ingredients, and there’s no corn, wheat, wheat gluten, rice or artificial colors, preservatives or flavors. Here’s what you will find:
Holistic Whole Protein: Salmon, whitefish, chicken or turkey that's slow-cooked provides a more digestible source of protein with up to 16 times less ash than rendered meat.
Non-GMO Produce: Fruits and vegetables from farms that refuse to use genetically modified seeds that rely heavily on chemical fertilizers and herbicides to produce crops.

My cat doesn’t eat this because of the flavor
By Noah on Jan 9, 2021
I am very happy that this sensitive diet did not bother my cat’s digestive system. That is a big win for us! She struggles with stomach upset, and we saw no “oops” from this food. Not even the first day of diet change. However, we started this wet food diet in addition to her existing dry food because my cat was running on the underweight side, and I wanted her to be eating more food. Cats typically LOVE wet food, but this she did not. She’d pick at it, and then leave the food bowl. We gave it the full box full run, to see if she would change her mind, and she did not. Even when I tried not feeding her the dry, to try and get her passed the “picky stage”. Bad Novemeber batch?
By Navi on Jan 6, 2021
When we first started this in October, my cat LOVED it. Couldn't get enough! As someone else had posted, I think something had changed. My shipment that came in November was a different story. The food my cat once loved she now refused to eat. She sniffs it, and then looks at me, and walks away. Not sure if something changed with the specific flavor or maybe a bad batch. In general, I love Halo and the products they offer. Hopefully they can get this sorted.

Picky cat & sensitive stomach approved!
By Rifer on Jan 13, 2021
I bought this for my one cat with a very sensitive stomach. Throws up almost every food out there, both wet and dry. All I can say is, glad I keep trying new things in my quest. He absolutely loves this food AND never throws it up. I’m kind of amazed. Plus my three other cats now pick this as their favorite flavor of any other wet food. Final review: Very happy cat mom, thank you Halo!

my cats are not a fan
By kyrasmom on Jan 15, 2021
I like Halo products so wanted to try this out for my three cats but none of them would eat it after the first couple of bites & one of them couldn't keep it down. The next time I tried to offer it they completely ignored it and would have gone on a hunger strike if I didn't go back to their old food. They have strong opinions so guess I am donating the rest of the case!

Too sensitive
By EatAtJoes on Jan 18, 2021
2 of my 6 cats have developed sensitive stomach's, as they age and became senior cats. These two cats just walk away when the food is presented to them. I have tried mixing the food in small doses with their favorite wet food and they still don't like it. I will not be buying this again.

Changed recipe
By Kate on Nov 10, 2020
I think Halo quail sensitivity stomach formula has recently changed. The last batch of Halo our cat LOVED but this one made him literally turn up his nose and walk away. I have pics of the expiration dates, and it’s the newer 2023 cans from Chewy that came today that make him gag. I did a side by side comparison. We will also contact Halo, since our cat has IBD and this is one of two foods (out of more than 25 we tried!!) that doesn’t make him sick. And now he refuses to eat it.

cats hate it
By quail on Jan 7, 2021
Sadly the rabbit flavor has been out of stock for some time now, so we purchased this hoping it could get us through. The cats literally hate it. They scratch at it and give us dirty looks. :( sorry, cats.

Cats won’t touch this flavor
By Catnip on Dec 19, 2020
I have four cats who will eat literally anything (paper, rocks, celery), but none of them will touch this stuff. I believe part of the problem is the consistency-it’s a thick, sticky paste that they have trouble eating. They like other Halo flavors, just not this one
