Pets with sensitive stomachs may need to transition a little more slowly to avoid any digestive upset. If you introduce the new food too quickly and your cat or dog experiences some digestive upset, just back up to the previous transition amount where your pet wasn’t having any trouble and feed that amount for a few more days before continuing with the transition. Once your pet is eating all Halo food, if you switch between Halo recipes, consider a 2- or 3-day transition to minimize stomach upset.

    Working Well!

By Rhea on May 13, 2021

My kitties were throwing up weekly. I tried a different food, one kitty got worse - diarrhea and projectile vomiting. Vet said he has irritable bowels and suggested novel food, like rabbit or duck. I'm supplementing their diet with this canned food by Halo and both kitties are doing very well - no diarrhea or vomiting for either for almost a month now. For a canned food, it's not super moist, so I do add a little bit of warm water and mix it up. Kitties enjoy it!

    They ate it!

By dbldeck on May 6, 2021

My cats are the pickiest eaters imaginable, but they like this food! It's a happy day around here when they willingly eat a can of food. They had loved Nutro Max wet food before it stopped being produced so finding an acceptable food replacement has been a challenge ever since.

    My babies won't touch it

By Bursts on Jun 19, 2021

I bought a stew version of this and my guys seemed to gobble it up. This mixture is true pate with no minced texture and they just won't go for it.

    Halo rabbit & garden greens

    By Cleonard54 on Mar 12, 2021

Halo canned food in general is great and this looked good to me but both my cats hate it. Now I seem to be stuck with a bunch of cat food. Will probably donate to local human society.

    Cat loves this

By Japsue on Jan 9, 2021

My cat has undiagnosed allergies which he’s on prescription meds. This was recommended because it is one of the flavors that doesn’t flare up his allergies. My vet even approved.

    My picky cat tried this

By Dogsister on Feb 8, 2021

I usually give my cats wet food that has more gravy in it. This food is kind of dry but my cat still eats it.

    Rabbit pate

By Audi on Nov 9, 2020

Again, my 3 kitties didn't like the rabbit pate. It smelled great and I thought since they stare down the rabbits that are in our yard they would enjoy eating rabbit but that is not the case.

    My 6 liked it!

    By Colleen on Aug 21, 2020 top1000Contributor

My 6 cats enjoyed this food. The pate is firm so pickier cats may have an issue with the texture. My 5 boys eat anything. My one little girl can be a bit pickier but she enjoyed this food. I personally don’t mind the firmness. It seems like I get more food with firmer pate’s. Any food with rabbit seems to be way expensive. This isn’t cheap but compared to other brands it’s much more reasonably priced. The company seems to have a good reputation. I feed it to my cats once a week to mix it up and add variety. Will definitely order again and keep it in the rotation as long as the price stays somewhat reasonable.

    FINICKY CAT

By Hacksaw on Sep 23, 2020

CHEWY.COM IS A BLESSING FOR PET OWNERS. HOWEVER, I CAN'T RECOMMEND SOMETHING MY CAT EATS. SHE LIKES THE 1ST CAN OF WHATEVER I BUY HER THEN SHE TURNS HER NOSE UP AT IT THERE AFTER. SHE DOES THIS FOR ALL WET FOOD. WHY? I HAVE NO CLUE. I DON'T GIVE HER DRY FOOD BECAUSE SHE DOESN'T DRINK WATER. WHY? I HAVE NO CLUE.
