Pets with sensitive stomachs may need to transition a little more slowly to avoid any digestive upset. If you introduce the new food too quickly and your cat or dog experiences some digestive upset, just back up to the previous transition amount where your pet wasn’t having any trouble and feed that amount for a few more days before continuing with the transition. Once your pet is eating all Halo food, if you switch between Halo recipes, consider a 2- or 3-day transition to minimize stomach upset.

About Halo Wet Cat Food

Holistic. Whole. Humane.

Holistic. Whole. Humane.

Halo is committed to providing no less than the best holistic recipes to satisfy your cat’s carnivorous cravings. Their wet cat food combines pure, natural ingredients like whole meat, poultry and fish plus non-GMO fruits and vegetables for delicious, more digestible meals. Following a whole meat philosophy, Halo never uses animal by-products or meat meals—just the real, whole proteins your cat needs to thrive.

Super Digestibility

Halo believes that whole meat equals a whole lot more digestibility. As obligate carnivores, cats need meat, not just parts of animals that you wouldn’t consider to be meat. When your pet gets whole proteins instead of rendered meats like chicken meal or fish meal, they’re getting optimum nutrition that’s easier for their body to digest. And that means they can get the full benefits of each nutrient-rich ingredient.

What's in Your Cat's Bowl?

With Halo, you won’t see a "meat meal" hiding anywhere in the ingredients, and there’s no corn, wheat, wheat gluten, rice or artificial colors, preservatives or flavors. Here’s what you will find:

Holistic Whole Protein: Salmon, whitefish, chicken or turkey that's slow-cooked provides a more digestible source of protein with up to 16 times less ash than rendered meat.

Non-GMO Produce: Fruits and vegetables from farms that refuse to use genetically modified seeds that rely heavily on chemical fertilizers and herbicides to produce crops.

    Moisture varies

    By on

I bought a few cans to see if Kate would like it and all was good...loved the rabbit and helped with the issues she was having with straight chicken. When I bought the case, this batch seems dry. I’ve had to add water to it and she only kinda likes this batch. I guess it will be hit or miss on moisture content.

Old cat learned to love new food

    By on

My 18 year old cat is in beginning stage of Renal failure and refuses to eat prescription food (tried them all) and Due to other health problems we had trouble keeping food in him. since going to the rabbit food for sensitive digestion he is keeping all the food in him and can’t wait to eat it. He is really annoying about it. His weight has stabilized and for now no more throwing up or diarrhea

    Not a single source protein

    By on

This food was recommended to me. Due to food allergies, my cat is on a single source protein diet. Rabbit, duck, venison are recommended. When I first saw this, i thought it was a single source food. Description says Rabbit and greens. Come to find out it has chicken in it!!!! Won't be buying again. Note, this is not Chewy's fault. Poor labeling on manufacturer's part.

Cats thought it was just “meh”

    By on

Both of my cats will eat this if they are very hungry and I just open the can, however one will outright refuse to eat it if it has been refrigerated, even if I’ve added warm water to it, and will only eat it if it sits out and gets back to room temperature. My other cat is not as picky but still not enthused about eating it. Would only recommend if you have multiple cats and use the whole can at time of opening.

    Cats won’t eat it

    By on

Cats won’t eat it. The cats like different Halo brands but this particular flavor they hardly touch. These 12 cans of food will probably last me a year as I will have to dish it out over the course of time. The Whitefish goes over well though.

    Sensitive stomach

    By on

Our poor cat has had stomach issues for a LONG time. Took him off his cortisone regime after he started eating Halo Sensitive. No more frequent vomiting except for an occasional fur ball. This food is a little on the dry side. I have to add a few drops of water to it.
