    My 6 liked it!

By Colleen on Aug 21, 2020

My 6 cats enjoyed this food. The pate is firm so pickier cats may have an issue with the texture. My 5 boys eat anything. My one little girl can be a bit pickier but she enjoyed this food. I personally don’t mind the firmness. It seems like I get more food with firmer pate’s. Any food with rabbit seems My 6 cats enjoyed this food. It seems like I get more food with firmer pate’s. Any food with rabbit seems to be way expensive. This isn’t cheap but compared to other brands it’s much more reasonably priced. The company seems to have a good reputation. I feed it to my cats once a week to mix it up and add variety. Will definitely order again and keep it in the rotation as long as the price stays somewhat reasonable. … more

    Rabbit pate

By Audi on Nov 8, 2020

Again, my 3 kitties didn't like the rabbit pate. It smelled great and I thought since they stare down the rabbits that are in our yard they would enjoy eating rabbit but that is not the case.

    FINICKY CAT

    By on

CHEWY.COM IS A BLESSING FOR PET OWNERS. HOWEVER, I CAN'T RECOMMEND SOMETHING MY CAT EATS. SHE LIKES THE 1ST CAN OF WHATEVER I BUY HER THEN SHE TURNS HER NOSE UP AT IT THERE AFTER. SHE DOES THIS FOR ALL WET FOOD. WHY? I HAVE NO CLUE. I DON'T GIVE HER DRY FOOD BECAUSE SHE DOESN'T DRINK WATER. WHY? I HAVE NO CLUE.

    Not happening!

One cat wouldn't go near it and the other cat projectile vomited right after trying it. We'll stick with the chicken beef indoor pate.

    Moisture varies

    By on

I bought a few cans to see if Kate would like it and all was good...loved the rabbit and helped with the issues she was having with straight chicken. When I bought the case, this batch seems dry. I’ve had to add water to it and she only kinda likes this batch. I guess it will be hit or miss on moisture content.

Cats thought it was just “meh”

    By on

Both of my cats will eat this if they are very hungry and I just open the can, however one will outright refuse to eat it if it has been refrigerated, even if I’ve added warm water to it, and will only eat it if it sits out and gets back to room temperature. My other cat is not as picky but still not enthused about eating it. Would only recommend if you have multiple cats and use the whole can at time of opening.

    It was a miss.

My one kitty really likes rabbit and I thought they would go for it, but it was a big nope. Hoping the humane society cats like it.

Good product but my cats won't eat it.

I have two cats, ages 19 and 1 1/2. I feed only high quality foods including Halo Spot's Stew and Impulse, Newman's Own Organics and NOW!. I also supplement with Hills prescription a/d for the senior cat. No matter which canned food I use, I've learned to blend it in a tiny food processor as my 19 yr old won't tolerate little solid bits in his food. I use all the flavors of each of the above types of cat food (the NOW! is dry food). This Impulse canned food made with rabbit is the ONLY one they just refuse to eat. I'm giving it 3 stars because it's made with great ingredients, but that doesn't help if the cats won't eat it. At least mine won't - maybe yours will. I think maybe it just tastes too gamey - domestic cats are more used to birds like chicken and turkey. I guess that's why they do eventually eat the guinea hen and quail versions of Impluse. By the way, the Impulse foods tend to be much firmer than Halo Spot's Stew or Newman's Own Organics - you may have to add a bit of water and mush it up. A small inconvenience for high quality food. … more

I made a mistake and should have ordered the Vigor. MY cats don't really like Impulse.

    Meh - the cats

    By on

This food is very dry and both cats turned up their nose at the food. But, you know, cats.... Ingredients seem pretty good but I think I am going back to what I previously gave them.

    Grain free points

    By on

So kitty seemed to like this when I first got it even though it was a bit dry. I added some water too it. I've been changing up her food so she doesn't become picky and will only eat one thing and so far it works well, though I'm waiting for the cat stubbornness to kick in! Compared to her other favourites (wholefarms duck or beef and soulistic shredded chicken) she seems to not like this as much anymore. She'll eat some but mostly leave it in favor of her dry food. Still we have some cans left and we'll see how we go. It's a good grainfree option, no carageenan, no fish, not many gums thought there is salt which I heard was a no no but it's at the point where you can only worry so much.
